what are you GLAD you did when you were younger?

for me, it's easy. I'm glad that:

despite feeling I would flunk out of my undergrad bio major, I stuck with it....

despite thinking I couldn't complete a second major while being sick, I stuck with anthropology and finished on time.

despite thinking I was not smart enough to be accepted to grad school, I tried anyway

despite thinking I could NEVER finish grad school, I stuck with it and did

i am glad that i did what i wanted without worrying what other people thought about me. i had more fun - and met more interesting people that way

i am so glad i studied in rome for a summer - it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life

it taught me so much about myself, even though it was amazing - I learned that I couldn't be away from my family even for a short time - I couldn't be away from FH for that short time

I cried every single day that I was there but I am so glad that I could fight through my sadness and truly EXPERIENCE it. . .

i think i really had the opposite experience than i was supposed to - but in the end, it was worth it

I'm glad I moved away to be a nanny, and despite the horrible relationship I was in i'm glad I stuck with it. It taught me VOLUMES about myself and what i'm capable of

glad I studied abroad in Ireland
glad I moved out after college
glad I've lived in 3 big cities before moving back to NY to settle down

I feel like I've learned a lot about myself - life lessons - from those four experiences

Im glad I FINALLY made the first move to kiss DH.. we were just friends and I thought there could be something more to it, so after 4 years of friendship, I made the move... <with the help of ALOT of beer!>

I'm glad I dated a few people before finding the one!!!

I'm glad I stayed home for college, brought me a lot closer to my mom, dad and sisters.

I'm glad I started with the company I work for when I did. It helped me to advance at an early age.

I am glad I stayed home & went to college...I met my DH...

Glad I took the job I did when i did...It has been almost 10 years & I have grown so much plus I was able to buy my house!!!

Glad I did the long distance relationship, it taught me a lot about myself & also taught me to communicate a lot better

Glad I never did drugs nor smoked.

So glad I settled down at 26. It was the right time in my life.

Glad I didn't go into education since it is so hard to find a position now with everyone doing it...

I'm glad I was brave enough to leave my home and family in florida to live in NY when I was 18...like I always dreamed of doing.

Im glad I dated a bunch of people before finding my hubby, because those prior relationships and the experiences I had in them, just help to make my marriage stronger today.

I am glad I went away to college - 7 hrs away. I was able to learn how to take care of myself and be independent.

I am also glad I sowed my wild oats!

I'm glad I traveled as much as I did in college & after college.
I'm glad I dated around before I met DH.
I'm glad I lived on my own before I met DH.

I'm glad I left Ohio, although that final missing undergrad semester haunted me until this year.

I'm very glad I went away to school and completed two BA degrees

So happy I spent the time and money traveling

I rarely folded under peer pressure..didn't/don't smoke, didn't drink until I was older

So glad I took summer courses b/f my senior year so I would have a semester to intern! Best decision I ever made!

Glad I lived on my own before getting married.

I'm glad I spent 2 years doing full time volunteer work. It totally changed the way I view the world and enriched my life in a way nothing else could have.
