Ugh yes. By my DH. His closet is a HOT MESS. I cleaned it once for him because 'it's my job'  , but I told him I'd never do it again. For the record, it stayed clean and organized for about a week and now it's a mess again.

Not really.
We agreed when we got married I'd take care of the "inside", he'd take care of the "outside".
Well, the outside is largely seasonal and takes a fraction of the time.
I'm up at 4:30 am every day, work FT, clean a 2,000sq. foot house w/o a cleaning lady, 1-2 loads per DAY, ironing, cook 6 nights a week, make DC's and my lunch every night. Since he started working in the city, longer hours, I'm lucky if he can empty the dishwasher or fold a load of laundry.
ETA: It's becoming an issue.

never...well maybe jokingly but honestly he probably cleans more than I do
I tend to "organize", he does most of the actual cleaning
I *am* responsible for laundry and changing the sheets, but he makes up for it with many, many other tasks

DH has never told me that cleaning around the house or that doing the laundry is my job, just like I have never told him that cooking is his job. We just do what we do best. & of course we help each other out when we can.

No. and DH is more than on board with doing some stuff like the laundry. But I am picky, and I hate the way he just shoves whatever in the machine.... So I end up doing it. I don't mind. I am so busy during the week though that I end up spending several hours each weekend getting it done.

Same here. DH has never told me it was my job cause he would get slapped to next Sunday BUT it kind of is my job because if I dont do it we'd be living with dirty plates on the floor and bugs all over the place. My DH is a slob.

I was thinking the same thing...
Once...and he does miss those testicles!
But no, he never has, and he definitely knows better. He knew when he married me that I wouldn't be Beaver Cleaver's mom.

Up til a few yrs ago, DH did NOTHING around our apartment. And what little he did di, was only after me asking 42 times then yelling at him. He never said it was "my job" though b/c he knew better.
Then I had surgery and physically couldnt do everything for a few weeks so he had no choice to help.
Now, I'd say he does more than me . I really think he finally realized that if he just pitches in, I'm nicer I work 2 jobs now so I get burnt out and need help around the house.
