spin-off to my whiny post about being overwhelmed-christening.
ok..being I am sucked in and cant leave help me with my menu...and no judging my weirdo christening..
its a luau..its all luau themed including u have to suck it up and wear hawaiian. I am getting someone to roast a pig--and hotdogs and hamburgers what else can i serve.. I am also in my head with my big plans going to build a tiki bar and string my own hawaiian lights...(again right after Ii get the hell off here )
in meantime..what side dishes?????????

OK i've never been to Hawaii, but these make sense to me..

yes..Ii have a frozen drink machine..I have margaritas and stuff. What pineapple recipes does anyone have? I just keep thinking pineapple chicken..anything else?

you can grill pineaplle on the bbq - it's yummy!
we went to hawaii on our HM. The thing that stands out weret hat no matter what you ordered, there was an orchid on the plate.
Also, there's always the traditional poi (?sp) that you could probably finmd a recipe for....

i have a recipe somewhere for luau sweet potatoes i made last year at my luau. they were a big hit. if you go to allrecipes.com and search you'll find a lot of things. i put in different heywords like luau, aloha, hawaiian and tropical

I'm not much of a cook, but I think this sounds like a great party...

thanks! I will google pineapple on all recipes...I started my lights last night..another 1999 to go..ha.
ok--I probably sound stupid..I am going to have to download "Tiny bubbles" I dk it. Unless...I do but not the name.
