Spin-off to no more sono Q (BTDT)
Lots of spin-offs today!
So if you don't have any more sonos after 20ws....do they hook you up to one when you get to the hospital? If they don't, how do they know if the baby is in the right position and if the cord isn't wrapped anywhere it shouldn't be?

I'm glad you asked this! This is one of the things I was so confused about!

Re: Spin-off to no more sono Q (BTDT)
When I went in for an induction on Monday (which did not work) one of the first things they did before starting the cervidill was do a quick sono to make sure the baby's head was down.

Re: Spin-off to no more sono Q (BTDT)
With my first, my midwife was able to tell the position of the baby two ways. One was by listening to the doppler. The position of where the heartbeat is indicates what position the baby is. And the second was just by feeling my belly. By pushing on my belly she was able to find the butt, head, belly, foot. It's really cool!

I didnt have any sonos after 20 weeks until my growth sono at 36 weeks. You SHOULD get a growth sono towards the end to see how the baby's body is growing.

I will have one at 32 weeks only because my placenta was very close to my cervix, but my dr told me that they don't do routine growth sonos (only if something warrants it).

Same. My schedule with my OB was 8 weeks, 20 weeks, 36 weeks.
I did also have add'l growth sonos at 38 and 39 weeks because DS was so big!
