spin off to savings account for kids...mutual funds
i got money for my DS in my divorce 3 years ago and it's been sitting in astoria bank in a savings account. i know...horrible. i was thinking to do a 5 year CD too but see thats a bad idea. i was told about mutual funds but I dont even know where to start! his father and my aunt already have 529's for him so i'd like to do something else. how do i go about investing in mutual funds?

We took some of my daughters money and invested it in mutual funds. I go through the company I have my IRA's & mutual funds with. They set it up for her with me as the custodian.
