Re: spinoff-- how did you choose your formula (if you are supplementing/)
Shane gets one bottle of formula before bedtime now...we were using Gentlease (Enfamil) by reco of his gastroenteroligist because of his belly issues, but since it wasn't helping his gas at all now she wants him to try Nutramigen which is for milk allergic babies. He tested negative for dairy allergy but she said he still may be sensitive. He hates it and he's still gassy with that too so we're sticking with the Gentlease since he at least seems to like it.

um, I just went with the least expensive, I use the walmart organic kind. I was buying similac and then saw that the store brand was half the price. I looked in baby bargains and they said since formula is regulated by the FDA, there is really no difference. I've been using the store brand since they were about a month or so and have never had any problems. They get formula once a day - one 8oz bottle at bedtime.

I give Ronan Good Start Natural Cultures. It definitely seemed to help his belly over Enfamil-he had crazy gas and stomach aches on Enfamil. Declan is on Amino Acid formula for milk allergy

Re: spinoff-- how did you choose your formula (if you are supplementing/)
I started on Similac Advance (that's the regular kind, right? ) because that's what I had samples of, and also b/c people said to try to use Similac over Enfamil b/c you get more Similac coupons. After adjusting to the regular Similac and having no issues, I switched to the Organic version b/c I wanted to use organic formula.
I may try generic brand of organic next time around...it's sounding more & more appealing since it is federally regulated.

ds started on the similac advance(or alternative enfamil lipil) - whil i was supplementing. He was grunting and struggling so much in between feedings, tried the gentleease(reduced lactose) still problems- so he's now on the Similac Sensative- lactose free. - but parents choice makes a lactose free version too at walmart
