spinoff - how much do you spend on your children's b-day parties

not the first b-day, but 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc

I am looking at spending about 400-450 on miki's 3rd b-day, my friend said I was nutsChat Icon

I explained that it is right after I get my annual work bonus so that makes it alot easier to spend more

if it was any other time during the year, I think my cut off would have been 200

So, what have you spent on parties for your kids?

Well Kaydyn's 2nd birthday is coming up next month. We're just having our family over for pizza and cake. So all together we'll prob spend about $100.

yeah, for miki's 2nd birthday, we just had it at a park and I probably spent about 100, maybe a bit more

this year, I wanted to do a petting zoo and pony rides which is costing me 250, we are also going to barbeque (pretty cheap) and then add in the cake and favors, etc

it adds up quick Chat Icon

we don't have a party where we invite people, but we take him some place fun every year.

last year was a night in the mountains, polar express, cec with his bff and pizza.

this year we are heading to the mountains for tubing/sledding...then coming home for pizza/cake. so we will probably do breakfast and lunch at the lodge...with some family, so it will add up quick

We have only done small family parties with just a cake and dinner up unti this year. I was going to spend about $350 on DD party when I realized she is too little even remember it. I decided to do a Chuck E Cheese party and it was so affordable. I think it should run me around $200 depending on how many kids come.

I'm not a fan of spending $$ on kids birthday prties esp when they are too young to really remember them. However, since KJ was just born and at three you kinda remember and enjoy stuff a bit more, I would totally go for it.

For her 2nd birthday we did not spend a lot like her first but we did spend more than we intended to. I think we spend over $600.
