Spinoff: Are you going to breastfeed if you have kids?
I know this is a very personal decision and I tried to breastfeed but was miserable at it and I was so sore that it was impossible for me to do it and I didn't want my daughter to be hungry. I give major kudos for women that do, but it just wasn't for me and my daughter is as happy and healthy as she can be.

No, People can talk up and down about the health benefits, but plenty of babies live and grow fine without it. I do not think I could do it. I have little patience for any pain, and to honest , it the one thing about motherhood that makes me feel weird.

i dont know yet... most likely not though, and if i do, it will be for a very short amount of time (probably till i go back to work)

I also do not feel the motherly instinct to, I guess I cant explain. I cant explain it, other then to say I just dont want to, and I wouldnt want my baby to suffer because I feel like they might sense Im not thrilled about it. I just dont think I would like the feeling, frustration etc associated with it.

yeah, I've heard it can feel very failure-like if you try but it doesn't work out. I would hate feeling that way.

I plan on breast feeding. Tho I may just pump the milk.
I don't know. The baby will get used to a bottle though, I could never b/f in public.

I may pump only, I don't know. I haven't really decided yet. I'm just not comfortable with b/f'ing, and I want DH to be able to feed the baby too.
I know of all the benefits of breast milk, but my siblings and I were formula fed, and we're all perfectly healthy adults.

I would like to breastfeed, but will not. I have breast implants (and although they are saline and said to be safe) I still would not feel comfortable feeding my child just in case.

I will definitely try. I tend to be more European about such things and don't have a problem with it. My BF has fed right in front of me.
I will pump even when I go back to work if I can.

I'm not sure yet. I know I'll get a lot of pressure from my ILs who are majorly pro-BF. I wasn't BF and its not something my family is very familiar with, so I'll definitely have conflicting opinions on all sides.
Personally, I'm not sure I want to. But I'm willing to give it a try.

when 2 of my cousins had babies, they were told that it's necessary to BF for the first 10 days. I'm not sure why...
