SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
ETA: I am supposed to leave at 6, but I never do. It's usually more like 7..sometimes as late as 9:30. I am really going to try to start leaving on time. Part of the problem is my work hours. For some reason the mornings are really quiet and it's all catch-up stuff, then in the afternoon everyone and their brother starts calling

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
Hardly ever!
When I leave "early" It's usually at 5:45. I am supposed to leave at 5:30.
I usually stay somewhere between an 30 minutes & an hour later, but can be up to 2 & half hours.
I'm trying to work on that.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
When I was working, I'd just about always leave at 5. There were maybe a dozen times a year I'd stay past 5.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I'm usually out the door at 5 in order to make my train....once in a while i stay a few minutes after. If I'm here really late people start asking me 'what happened?' I guess I've turned into one of 'those' people that RUN out the door at 5....oh well !! I don't get paid more to stay late so doesn't bother me

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I like to be in the parking lot at 4:30!!!
But I will stay without question (unless DH can't get home to the dog) when needed (which is rare - usually quarterly when we are preparing for quarterly Ops reviews).

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I used to have a job that required off-hours support so I felt like I was always working. I would come in early and leave late.
I've since realized the importance of my personal time and that no one truly appreciated my extra time. So I leave the minute my time here is done. Every day.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I always leave at 5 on the dot unless there is an issue, then I stay.
ETA: I'm always the first one in, usually early.

Same here...
The company I work for are a bunch of clock watchers. They don't like anyone coming in late (and yes, 9:01 is considered late) or leaving early or late.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
My work day officially ends at 5.00. I usually stay until 5.30 in order to catch the express train at 5.50. There is a local train that leaves at 5.29 but I only get home about 10 mintues earlier.
During my busier seasons, it's not uncommon for me to be here until 7.30 or 8.00.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I always leave on time. My boss actually lets me leave early, much more than I stay late. Once in a while (like 3x a year, MAYBE) they need me to stay, and I always do. Plus it's almost never more than an hour.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
i cannot stay late unless there is scheduled OT, my office closes at 4:45 sharp. i work from 8:15 to 4pm, and i always leave right on time. i almost NEVER have work to do that keeps me here.
ETA: if i have a lot of work to do i skip lunch, but then i leave an hour early. (my deadline for work due the next day is 2:30pm so it doesn't pay for me to stay past that).

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I don't really have set hours but I never ever leave when I should. I always try to get one more thing done, then another. When I did have set hours I was the same way.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
No, I stay an hour later, but I get credit for that hour and can have up to 24 hours in my time bank to use as I please If I've reached the maximum time allowed in my bank, I definitely leave on time.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I typically leave no later then 5. I'd say maybe once or twice a week I stay a few minutes later to finish something up. If I need to, I will stay though. I usually log in at night when I get home anyway. I just have to leave by 5 because DH usually has something at the firehouse and I have to get home and make dinner before he leaves.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
There are 6 weeks a year where I work everyday past 5:00 (when I am supposed to leave). Those 6 weeks I usually end up working until 10 every night during the week and even come in on the weekends.

When needed, but I prefer to leave and work on catch up paperwork at home rather than stay in the office. I can do most of my job from home.
