Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
I catch the same train every day - a few minutes after 5pm.
I don't actually leave work though. I work on my train ride home & do catch up work at night sometimes.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
Yes I leave on time 99% of the time. Especially if I have to pick up Jake from daycare.
For the first few years I worked here I worked late everyday. Never left earlier than 6pm. I paid my dues, I'm done.

That's really true. Everyone here starts off working late and coming in early...And now it seems like the people who stay late are the ones who either are really miserable at home or don't do enough work during the day. Where I work working late isn't necessarily seen as a good thing.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
My day is done at 4:30, and if I'm not out of the building by 4:45, I'm upset, or I was chatting with someone about non-work related stuff on the way out.

I am out of work on time about 95% of the time.
Same here...
The company I work for are a bunch of clock watchers. They don't like anyone coming in late (and yes, 9:01 is considered late) or leaving early or late.
Do you punch in/out? My DH's job is like that, but they have a 7 minute grace period. So, the latest he leaves is 5:37. He told me institute my own punch clock!
I think I used to leave earlier before flex hours. Now, there really isn't an "end of day' because every works different hours. So when I came in at 8:30, I'd rarely leave at 4:30, becaues i felt like I was sneaaking out, or meetigns would go late, b/c my boss worked untill 5:30 or 6.

Re: SPINOFF: DO you leave work on time
Never. I'm really trying to get better.
I'm free to go at 2:30 (I'm a teacher), but I never, EVER leave before 3:30. 70% of the time, I'm there until almost 5.
