Spinoff from my last post: does it matter which lab you get your blood taken at or are all "numbers" the same??
I had a 272 at 14 dpo or 4 weeks. Now my awful Dr's office is telling me this number is really low even though on the internet the number is normal for 4 weeks AND I just spoke with another Dr's office who said the number is normal. The old Dr.'s office said it "depends on where you get your lab work taken" and that my number for their lab should be 500 to 10,000.
I thought all Beta numbers were the same regardless of where you got your blood drawn??
SO confused.

Sounds hard for me to belive they would come up different at different labs (if you got the same blood tested for example). Hopefully that crappy Dr's office just messed up your #s and unfortunately freaked you out!
Keep us posted, please!

There is a standard range of acceptable levels, but each doctor or practice can have a particular cut-off they like to see.
Also remember that there are quite a few of us newbies who used IVF or IUI and were under the care of a Fertility Clinic.
We have a lot more ultrasounds and blood tests than a "normal" pregnancy would in the beginning because of how we conceived. So don't worry if your situation doesn't match some others here.
Here's a site that goes over normal ranges of hcg:

I think you are just fine!

Going by this you are way above the range because if you are 4 weeks pg that means you are 2 weeks past O date right? Or are you counting 4 weeks from the day of your O date(if you are you are really 6 weeks-that is how its calculated from the date of your LMP.)

I personally think they are full of it. My Dr used one lab that is closer to them & then referred me to another for my second test that is closer to me. They said NOTHING about a variance in numbers if I went to a different lab.

I hope they are full of it. Right now I hate them anyway though.

Can I ask which site you're using for the beta level guidelines? I would like to compare what you're finding online compared to what my doctor told me. I went through the same thing...I had to take 2 blood tests because my doc didn't see anything when she did an ultrasound and I was supposed to be 6 weeks, according to the first day of my last period. My first blood test came back with a level in the 700s and my doc said it looks like I ovulated late and I was more like in my 4th week. Took another blood test 48 hrs after and it came back with a level in the 1,400s and my doc said everything looks fine. I think it just seems like each doctor goes by different benchmarks.
