Spinoff of table food and daycare: what do you send with your 2yr old to daycare?
for breakfast and lunch?
I think we may try to wake up early and give her breakfast at home. Not 100% sure about this.
But for sure lunch will need to be sent. They provide two snacks.
So what do I send?
For $3 I can buy their hot lunch and I'm allowed to pick and choose which days (which I'm sure will drive me crazy). The days I don't pay for I need to provide her lunch.
I need ideas! She leats pasta, peas, green beans, strawberries, juice, crackers, bread, brocolli, mac n cheese, super soft cooked carrots, meatballs, meatloaf, salmon and I think that's pretty much it.
How do we get this semi warm? or is room temp better than fridge ?

Not sure about lunch since DC's daycare provides it but for breakfast we usually send him with either cereal and yogurt or some kind of pancakes/waffles that I will heat up fast in the microwave at daycare when we get there.
Can't they heat the food up for lunch?

does your daycare have microwaves? I send my dd with meals to daycare everyday and she eats breakfast and lunch. If it is something I cooked at home, I give them simple instructions on how long to heat the item.

Don't laugh .. but I dont know about the microwaves.
The place is literally brand new. Still being built actually as I type. I drive by it every single day.
I guess I could ask.

All of the classrooms at my daycare have microwaves to heat lunches. I send mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, soup in the winter, pasta with tomato sauce, ground turkey or beef with cheese that they melt in the micro, fish sticks, dinner leftovers...
