Posted by afternoondelight828 My monthly budget includes the service contract also. I don't pay extra for that.
Sure you do, they just steal from a different bucket. You pay a higher price for oil then if you got it without contract.
Not sure about that as I get the "receipt" when I get a delivery and my price is less than the going price and I pay $1992/year with the contract included.
How much do you pay per gallon?
I will have to get back to you on that as right now I only know how much I pay per month and my bill went down $25 from last year to this year.

Re: Spinoff of turning on heat-how much do you pay?
We have gas for heating & cooking. In the summer our bill is as low as $25-30 per month. In the winter when it's really cold, it's been as high as $175-200 per month, but that is usually only for the coldest month or two. The rest of the winter it's around $125-150 per month, then in the spring & fall, $75-100 at most per month. So maybe $1,000 or so for gas for the year if I had to estimate.

$150/ month balanced, 4 bedroom house
Gas
3 zones, one we barely turn on as the room is extremely warm.
My husband keeps the heat up high and opens windows, but I still think our cost is reasonable!
