My mother met JFK at a Girl Scout trip to the White House. A friends relative worked at the White House at the time, so the Girl Scout Troup got a special tour, and the President just happened to be in at the time. So they all got invited into the Oval Office and they all got to meet JFK. My mothers BFF was nervous and asked him where they kept Macaroni (Caroline's pony)
I love that story.

No but DH has, his cousin used to work at the Pentagon under Bill Clinton so he was able to visit and meet them. He says they were very, very nice. Lucky Ducky!

I never met any presidents, but I did send a wedding invite to the current Pres. Bush and Laura Bush (read it on a website somewhere), unfortunately they weren't able to come but sent a very nice card congraulating us on our wedding.

I shook hands with both Clintons at the State Fair in 2000- I should have made the Secret Service guy buy me a drink after he felt inside my bra while doing the security check.
Bill Clinton also spoke at my CCNY graduation in 2004. It was a great speech and the only reason I went to the ceremony.

My husband has met Dubyah quite a few times...he works a block from Capitol Hill and is there on a daily basis for bill markups and hearings...
He also attended a gala where he needed to use the restroom and walked the wrong way and literally bumped into Barbara Bush who looked at DH and said "Hello"! and was all flustered. Her guards were not amused by my DH and escorted him the other way....

Th closest I came was meeting HRC in Stop and Shop-- she was talking about healthy eating habits in the produce section!

I saw Bob Dole. He spoke at my college during the '96 campaign. That's as close as I got.
I've seen the Pope too. Now that would be someone i would love to meet, even more so than the President.

i met president carter and his family at disney world in like 1987. My dad got the honors of using the urinal right next to him in the men's room (w/ secret service observing).

Bill Clinton spoke at my school...I didn't meet him though - he was the speaker at my friend's commencement speech though!
