Dylan's Hebrew names are for the great-grandfathers and his first name was just 'cause we liked it and because Dylan McKay was so fly.

DH, his father, his grandfather, my grandfather, my father, and my brother are ALL Joseph!!!

We wanted something different. we had a book of unique baby names. It was spelled Kaylen for a boy. I said i liked it, but lets spell it Cailen!

Ah, we used the infamous bracket.

Just like a basketball playoff bracket - we voted and the top name won.

Lukcily we both agreed on the top 2 names, despite not agreeing previously.

DS was named for my MILs maiden name and DHs dad who passed away

Johnny Depp's daughter's name is Lily Rose Melody. I loved the sound of that name...but clearly couldnt' name my daughter the exact name (what would people think?).
But I did like the idea of my child having a name similar to mine - so she was in a way named after me.
I am Lori Anne and she is Lily Anne.

If we ever have a son, he will be named Thomas after my husband, so I thought it only fair for the little girl to be named after me.

ps...we came up with the name in the delivery room while I was in labor....

Christopher Michael, III. I guess the III explains where we got his name. If I had a say, he would have had Joseph in his name somewhere.

Ummm, well, DH liked Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I love the old movie Sabrina and one day I was flipping through a PBKids catalog and saw the "Sabrina" baskets and thought "what a pretty name". I asked DH what he thought, and he excitedly said "yeahhhhhh, I like it"

My name is Juliet and when thinking of a middle name, I realized that despite the childhood teasing, I really do love my name and have come to realize that it is a beautiful name. I put it together with Sabrina and decided what better way to acknowledge my maturity of having come to love my name than by using as my daughter's middle name.

Now we didn't know DD's gender until birth so this name sat in waiting until the last minute. But it was a good thing as DH and I never agreed on a boy name.

JW and I were discussing baby names for a while. I came up with my top 10 boys names and presented them to him. He hated almost all of them. (Names like Jason, Joseph, Nicholas, Brian, Matthew etc). When I finally said Brandon, he agreed! He said "I love that name". So we were set for a first name.

My friend Karyn and I were discussing middle names at lunch one day. As a joke, she said we should name the baby Brandon Matthew and his initials would be BMW. I thought it was hilarious because JW and I both drive BMW 540's. I sent a text to my husband and he loved it so much that we stuck with it. So my little boy is a Beemer Boy.

We joke around that if we have a girl we would name her Porsche, Mercedes or Lexus. OBVIOUSLY kidding.

My son is Braeden Nicholas. My husband picked Braeden and Nicholas is after my sister Nicole.

My daughter is McKenna Rose. We both always loved McKenna and it was always going to be our girls name. Rose is after my mom who passed away.

I have loved DD's name since I was ~8 years old...don't remember where I heard it, buy I then named my doll that too.

We narrowed our girls' names down to two and made the final decision at the hospital. She's not named after anyone, we just loved the sound of the name, and love it even more now. It suits her perfectly. Abigail Paige

Still working on boy & girl names for baby #2 & having a very tough time. There are no family names that we even remotely like & we're stuck.

1st son:same as hubby-Anthony Joseph
2nd son:my initials:Daniel Marco
so we were A-D-A-D for a good while(it was great for holiday cards)
then we had #3-we picked Matthew David because David is my dh brother's name and Matthew means Gift from God-Perfect!!!

My DD name is Alexis Paige- a girl i work with asked me what I was naming her and I told her I didnt know and she was like, why dont u name her lexi? i liked it but didnt want to name her lexi, i think thats more of a nick name so i decided on alexis. her middle name was supposed to be rose, for my uncle that passed, but my bf HATED IT, he says rose is an old lady name lol. then it was gonna be jade just because it sounded nice with alexis but i still wasnt too crazy about it. one day i was watching a baby story and there was a baby name alexis paige, i throught it sounded good together and my bf actually agreed on it. also my mom loves the name paige and i figured that since she was so upset that we werent using rose, at least we used a name she really liked.

Logan because it was the name DH liked........ just a name he liked not picked for anything specific.....BUT it does just HAPPEN to be Wolverines name (DH is a pretty big comic book fan ) and it happens to be the name of Robert Plants son (DH is a HUGE Led Zep fan!!!).

Julian because I liked the name for several reasons but #1 was being the nickname for Julian is Jude and Jude is my Dad's middle name!



Neither of us wanted to give in as far as which name for the first name, so about 3 weeks before my due date DH mentioned he like Logan Julian. Oddly enough I had been tossing that around as the possible solution to who would give in & get the first name choice I liked it because I liked the "LJ" initials as a nickname!!!

my husband is a huge star wars fan and we picked the name Jacen (Jason) a long time ago (its from the star wars books).

were still keeping first name a secret, but her middle name will be Shea, my DH is a Mets junkie, and this way he thinks the stadium will live on forever..(who says that? lol)
Her first name is derived slightly from my mothers name, but also carries a beautiful religious meaning, and the Saint she'll be named for actually has Dec 31st as her Saints Day..so the timing may be nice too :)

my DS is named Nicholas Richard for the simple fact that Richie was his paternal grandfather who passed away, and Nicholas was the only name we could agree on lol

I always like the name Jared. I got it from my dh's cousin's friend. Robert is my dh's name~as well as his dad's name.

The next baby is Nikolas Roger.
I love the spelling of Nikolas and Roger is my dad's name.

I really likes the name Mckayla but DH wasnt crazy about it. So then we agreed on Kaila, but I just wanted to see what different spellings there were for it to make it a little different.
