Spinoff to cash only businesses...would you book a vendor for a party if it were cash only?
For instance, a service for a bday party, an instructional class, etc?

I went through this with my wedding-I don't pay cash for anything that large. I like all of my payments tracked, through my bank. I also don't go for paying cash to save the tax, which many wedding vendors do. I paid all of my wedding payments with check. I have heard too many horror stories-I like everything on paper.

Probably not. I might opt to pay them cash but they should accept other forms of payment. If a business is cash only, I am willing to bet that the business is not properly formed or properly insured.
Paying a balance in cash on the day of an event is different. They should be assured that they are paid.

Yes, I did this a lot with my wedding to save tax. But i would only do it if there was still a contract signed.

Yes. We're using a few vendors for our dd's party and we are paying cash
A larger event like a wedding, I'd want a record so we used a cashiers check or personal check depending on the vendor
