Spinoff to Deceptively Delicious
Would any moms be up for a "hidden fruits, veggies, grains" recipe/idea thread?
I can post my recipes for carrot muffins, zucchini muffins, plus I have a great recipe for a soft cookie called a cinnamon jumble that is almost like a muffin top ---- and I put blueberries, apples, and other fruits in them sometimes.

Re: Spinoff to Deceptively Delicious
Okay ladies, so start sharing! I'm pulling out my recipes right now ----
Also I'm looking for a good, healthy mac & cheese recipe that my daughter might eat --- right now all she eats is easy mac, she won't even eat regular mac & cheese but I'd love to try some homemade mac & cheese ideas! I'm thinking carrots would be easy to hide in mac & cheese cuz of the color!
ALso my sister gives her daughter the V8 fruit blend juices and her daughter and my daughter alike love them!

Melissa, I give Talia the Annies mac and cheese - it's organic - all natural and she makes a microwavable version that is beyond easy!!

Believe it or not I've tried that so many times and Emily won't eat it.
I've tried the white cheddar and also the yellow cheddar shells one. Seriously, it makes me think that I must be doing something wrong. She won't even TOUCH it!

Re: Spinoff to Deceptively Delicious
Finely grated Yellow Zucchini is the easiest to hide in mac-n-cheese and they never notice it. That was a tip from my pediatrician. Works great.
I grate carrots, zucchini, and all root vegetables into hamburgers, meatloaf, casseroles. I am dying to get that book so I can start with the puree'd veggies in recipes. It is so much easier than fighting with a 2 year old. I will worry about better eating habits when she is older. For right now I just want to get the nutrition in her.
Bring on the recipes please.

I add a jar of sweet potatoes baby food to tomato sauce when I make him pasta. I don't think he likes the acidity of sauce, so I add the sweet potatoes to balance.
I also thinly slice mushrooms and/or in grill cheese.
I mash carrots into mashed potatoes.
