Spinoff to "do you believe in things like this?" - Psychic Readings...

An earlier thread "do you believe in things like this" got me thinking. Does anyone on LIF get Psychic Readings (tarot, palm, etc)? If so, how often?

Has anyone ever been "dead on" with a reading that they've had done?

Yes i had a reading done a few years ago and some thing's did come true.and I do believe in it! NY teacher i wanted to tell you something in FM but you still have me blocked.. it's about this topic!

yes I have seen someone who was amazing....Expensive but dead on, knew only my first name, he predicted my pregnancy, even that it was a boy and what we would name him....He even knew about my two pregnancy losses, and when they happen, and what sex they were....No one could find that info out on me......

And he point blank said " you had a daughter" , she died, blah blah...not a hint or anything I could have interpretted....

Soi I 100% believe, Im be a dumb arse if I didint after that....

FMIL's friend is a psychic - she doesnt do "formal" readings - she doesn't accept money bc she believes she has a gift from God. She can't control WHEN she sees things so she will call someone in the middle of the night after a vision.

She predicted the birth of TWO children in the family - both unplanned and unexpected.

she predicted FFILs heart disease and they caught it just in time

She sees something when she looks at me - BUT - FH hates when she "reads us" so he won't let her talk to us . . . i have to get her alone LOL

ETA: on a totally creepy note - if anyone close to me gets a reading - the psychic will only see ME, my sister even got her money back bc the woman couldnt see PAST me to her even thought i didnt even KNOW she was going there.

i really believe that they're are ppl that have a gift....i mean we have 5 senses per se but but we are animals just like dogs and cats that have heightened senses why cant we?....i went to see john edward in december and i bought tix to go see him again this december coming up not to get read but to just enjoy myself with my mom....i am getting read on may 29th though by someone else that a friend recommended me too and im excited

My DH and I were in Key West about 12 years ago and a palm reader did her thing. I have no clue what she said anymore. I guess it didn't have any kind of impact on me.

As a side note, I believe that it is possible for people to have "intuition" or "psychic" abilities. We only use a small portion of our brain and I believe that some people have abilities that can be related to the other parts of our brain that we don't use. I also believe that most of the store front psychics are a bunch of quacks who just want to make money.
