Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
Which one and why?
Is it more of a nutrition factor, cost or "it's what he/she likes"???
My Puppy loves her dry food

Dry only, when she was a puppy on occasion we would buy the wet, but not so much any more.

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
Dry food only. It's much leaner and NO human food.
They never had human food. They had a total of 2 cans of wet food to mix with the dry food when they were puppies. Never since then.

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
We initially gave him wet food but we found out it was not good for his teeth so we slowly incorporated dry food and that is all he eats now!

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
i give my jack russell dry food and half a can of wet food every time. the wet food is kind've a treat. he eats eukanuba and the wet is cesars but i wanna change the brand. he loves it but i feel it's not the best he can eat.
my pitbull eats eukanuba dry food only and on occassion i squirt some of that gravy stuff in it for a treat

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
dry only
we will mix things in with it - i'll chop up baby carrots, i'll put pieces of boiled chicken in there, etc.
she gets all natural food too b/c her skin gets bothered by the food w/ glutin/wheat in it.
i also usually put a little bit of hot water in w/ the dry food to make it a little "gravy" like... it is easier for her to eat this way.

My dog will NOT eat wet food, so I give mih dry food and will make broiled chicken with vegs., chopped meat and rice every now and then. It is more healthy for him anyway.

Roscoe and Tiffany love there dry food. I feed them Iams. My cats turn there nose up at the wet, and it smells gross anyway. They get more full with the dry food, and there coats look great.

Dry.....the vet told us that the wet food the breeder had her one would make her breath and poop more stinky.

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
Dry! It's healthier and then don't tend to overeat. On special occasions though we give her a little caesar.

Re: Spinoff to food - Wet or Dry???
We've always been feeding him dry food. Recently he just wouldnt eat it. He would skip a few meals. We took him to the vet, tests came back normal so doc suggested we mix his food. We just started doing that. He eats his food in under 2 minutes and comes to me for more. We mix the canned food in with the dry food just to moisten it.
