What dry dog food can you recommend?
I currently use Pedigree but its too big for my little one and to be honest, I am tired of buying 2 diff kinds of dog food, so I want to change the dry dog food to one.
One dog is 8lbs, one is 19lbs and the last one is 50lbs.
I give them each a can at night (little ones get a pouch) and in the am they will get the dry food.

I use Beneful and have since I got Misty - I've tried others but she always gets sick so I'm sticking with Beneful.

Re: What dry dog food can you recommend?
i used iams with jack, it was good, but i noticed he was getting 'round' in the belly. then i switched to Eukanuba (small bites & wet) and jack has really thrived with it. He is leaner, his coat is silky/shiny & his skin underneath is clear.
See what works with yr pet

Re: What dry dog food can you recommend?
We used to give Kasey the Pedigree puppy food and then when we moved her to adult food we switched to Beneful. She seems to enjoy that more, plus I think it smells better!!

I am a fan of Wellness or Merrick.
Wellness is one of the first to remove Wheat Gluten in their food and it's called the Core line.
Did anyone hear today on Oprah what Gluten does to children with autism.

Re: What dry dog food can you recommend?
After years of being in animal rescue and nurturing many dogs back to health...i have found that Merrick is by far the best dry food around. It can also be mixed with a little warm water and it makes a great gravy that my doggies love. It's much more expensive than most commercial brands ($45 for a 30lb bag)...but WELL worth it. They get all the nutrients needed and it's essentially the same as feeding them a raw diet. Plus, less is needed for them to get the daily nutritional requirement, so the bag lasts longer.
PS> I used to use Beneful, but an animal trainer and very knowledgeable animal lover friend of mine told me that many of the Pedigree products (As well as other "commercial" brands) are actually made not only from slaughtered horses and very dead cows (like, dead before anybody kills them)....but they've also found evidence of euthanized cat and dog remains in them.....therefore, I stopped using "commercial" products about 3 years ago.
Just keep in mind, that changing foods can cause some temporary digestive problems, and keep an eye out for any allergies.
Best of luck!!!
ETA: PLease stay FAR FAR away from IAMS or any IAMS related products.....this has been discussed on numerous occasions on this board.....just do a google search for IAMS video and you will find out why!!!!

Re: What dry dog food can you recommend?
I feed my dog Flint River. It is a high density food without fillers. I have done a lot of research on this and it seems to work the best for my dog.
The best part is you order it online and it is on your doorstep in 2 days. My dog was very picky and absolutely loves it! They have so many different flavors and kinds as well. It is made in the US and is baked fresh so that it was never involved with any of the recalls. We also get the doggie treats from them.
The ingredients used are also human grade which was very important to me.

The link doesn't seem to work, but if you type it in it will.

I have tried all different foods with RUDY Really $$$$ ones and the only one he will eat is Pedigree. So Pedigree it is.
