Spinoff to Friendship..Are you friends with any friend stealers?

Friend Stealer: A person with whom you are friends with, and down the road they become friends with most of your friends, eventually trying to cut you out of your original friendships aka have her/him take your place.

I'm was friends with a "friend stealer." My ex friend stealer thought she became friends with all of my friends and literally though she could steal them and make them hers. They weren't down with it. They dropped her because in the long run nobody liked her. (she im'd me today too how funny). A friend stealer can never break the bond of a friendship that has been strong over the years.


And I'm currently friends with a friend stealer. She started off as one persons friend... and she has become friends with all of their friends and eventually down the line she became friends with me, and let the motion continue because she became friends with all of my best friends. yet again, the relationship was short-lived. They ditched her. I'm still friends with her though because she really is a great friend--despite her thieving capabilities lol

Friend stealers are shifty--they are usually the nicest people in the world (which is how they chum their way into your life), but on the flip side, those friendships never last. Wonder when they will realize they are the...weakest link

So the question is:
Are you friends with any friend stealers?
or
Are you a friend stealer yourself?

I've had ex boyfriends who were friend stealers

I'm definitely not a friend stealer but I don't think becoming friends with your friends means you "stole" a friend unless you're in junior high.

I've never had it happen to me either. Maybe it's because my friends are all scattered around?

My ex- FI tried to be a friend stealer. He was so pathetic on so many levels.

my sister is a friend stealer

it's ok though b/c she lives in CA and the friends she stole are more her style than mine anymore (lots of bar hopping, going to metal band shows and getting wasted thursday - sunday)

I've become friends with friends of friends too. I'm a people person...
But I mean someone whos "new best friends" revolve around everyone elses best friends. My friend does it to fit in.

I always make friends with my friends' friends, but whenever we hang out, we always invite the friend who introduced us...and if she can't make it we still go out. I don't think that's considered a friend stealer....

i am not a friend stealer - but i did meet
some of my current close friends through a former neighbor/friend. she's since moved away and the group of us that are tight were all burned by her, so we aren't really friends with her anymore. but, that was not something i pushed. in fact - i remained friends with the former neighbor/friend longer than anyone else did.

One of my neighbors is a friend stealer. This is a new experience for me, and I can not believe how much it bothers me.
