I'm terrible. I am rarely motivated to do much more than the bare minimum to keep the house liveable. I mean.. there's nothing on the floor and no food laying around or anything that would bring critters.. but I rarely dust or deep clean or anything really much deeper than a quick mop.

same here, the only room I am anal about is the bathroom and I don't even clean it that often! when I do it gets a really good scrub a dub

I am a really good cleaner or sanitizer I should say.
I clean, but when it comes to cleaning the bathroom and kitchen (Especially after cooking raw meat) I disinfect wayyyy tooo much!

I love to clean and am an excellent cleaner. After I'm done with cleaning my house, you can literally eat of my floors...I like everything to shine. And when I clean, I clean everything!. Some weeks I get caught up in life so I don't have as much time, then I'll just quickly sweep around, but I always make it up next week.

I am an AWESOME cleaner and my house is proof of it (even with 2 kids)Chat Icon I have an issue though. I am OCD. Everything has a 'home" in my house, therefore I have zero crap laying around.

Same here. My DH always comments we could eat off of our floors - & I'm proud of that Chat Icon Cleaning is my way of relaxing & letting out stress.

I clean every room & every surface to the nines.

I firmly believe in putting things back where I got them from & not keeping unecessary "stuff" laying around.

I won't tolerate it. The minute you decide to not put something away, or when you say "I'll get to it tomorrow etc" is when everything just starts to pile up. JMHO

I actually don't mind cleaning and laundry. Everything has a place and i HATE clutter. If my house is a mess, im in a bad mood. However, I do not like cooking, at all.

Agreed with this 100%. I cannot have bills on the counters, on the kitchen table, etc. It has to have a place or it goes in the trash.

And I may be in the minority, but I could never hire a cleaning person for some reason. I am very particular about how I want things to look, be done, and the thought of someone cleaning my home is just very weird to me. I enjoy cleaning my house, then sitting back and enjoying how clean it is.

YES! I am SUPER anal about cleaning. I skeeve EVERYTHING. I would personally lick my toliet bowl. I know how clean it is. I have sat on the bathroom floor with a cup of bleach and Qtips to clean the grout. Its my moms fault. She is worse. I love to vacuum. LOVE IT! I do slack BIGTIME on laundry. HATE that.

Before twins, my house was spotless....Now, I am tripping over their toys, the microwave has splatters in it, the master bathroom needs cleaning, etc. I do the best I can with the limited free time I have.

Re: Spinoff to House Cleaning Contest: Are you a good "cleaner"?

i don't mind cleaning but right now being that we are not unpacked, doing construction its really impossible to keep the place tidy and organized.

I clean usually 2x a week and if i am running out of time i dust only once a week, but the floors i am doing maybe once a week if not once every week and half since we have so much traffic in the kitchen its hard to keep pets/husband off the floor.

I love to clean and nothiny makes me feel better than finally sitting down in a spotless house Chat Icon

ITA. I could never have someone else clean my house, either, because I've heard horror stories of cleaning ladies using a rag to clean the toilet and then using it on the kitchen counter. Freaks out a germ nut like myself Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff to House Cleaning Contest: Are you a good "cleaner"?

I'm an okay cleaner, but I don't have the time for it. We keep everything reasonably clean and organized during the week, but our cleaning ladies do our heavy cleaning. I'm somewhat of a clean freak -- I need the house to be clean -- but I don't have the time in the week to actually get it done. Luckily, we have great cleaning ladies who are trustworthy and do a great job.
