Re: Spinoff to kinda WR... Ever asked to be in a wedding you didn't support?
Yikes, thankfully no
but honestly even if I didn't like my girlfriend's future husband, if she asked me I couldn't say no. I would just go along with it for her sake.

Re: Spinoff to kinda WR... Ever asked to be in a wedding you didn't support?
I was a BM in a college friend's wedding right after graduation about 10 years ago. I literally have not heard from her since!!! NOT ONCE!! I was surprised even to be asked to be in it,mbut I was excited, bc it was the first wedding I was ever in. I was living in Chicago at the time and I had to fly to OH for the wedding. As a 22 year old making $25k a year it was a huge expense for me.
I have heard that is currently divorce.

Yes I was and for the most part, I kept my mouth shut about my feelings. When the bride needed an ear to listen to her vent I was there for her, but I tried to keep my opinions to myself.
this is what i am doing now.

Yes, I was the Maid of Honor. We were waiting to walk down the aisle and I asked if she really wanted to do this and if she didn't, we could leave right then. She did marry him and hasn't been happy since.

Re: Spinoff to kinda WR... Ever asked to be in a wedding you didn't support?
Yes. . It was because I wasn't a big fan of the groom's. I did it & never said a word to the bride.
My thoughts were she's going to need a friend if she marries this guy. I'd rather be there for her than alienate her.

Yes and I am still very concerned about how it will end. Long story short one spouse had same-sex relationships for YEARS (including some live-in same-sex relationships) and is now married with kids. I do not think this was ever disclosed
