When I was working, DH made 20x more than me during a bad year.

we make about the same. It varies from year to year though since he gets commission and I get OT.
This year my OT wasn't very high since I had personal issues I was dealing with. He had a good year commission wise although he worked like a dog for it.
I have a feeling it's going up next year for me.

DH makes more because he works more OT. Otherwise, we'd be about the same.

Right now I do. I am a NYC teacher. DH just got out of the Marine Corp and is working for Cablevision. His salary will most likely go up faster than mine. So, he will catch up and exceed my salary within a few years if I stay in NYC. If I move to LI, I think our salaries will be equal

my salary is higher now. in december when DH gets his raise, his will be higher, but only until may, when i get my raise - and then he gets another raise next december which should put him on top again. then my salary will only be higher if i get a promotion.

Mine by a lot-- My dh's union is the only union I ever heard of that signs a contract agreeing to no raise for 4 years. I love the teamsters
