Spinoff to MacLaren strollers

How do you like the seat reclining system? I purposely did not choose a MacLaren because of the "strap" reclining thing. I chose a Graco because I preferred the little "bar" that is used to move the back of the seat up and down. I am now regretting my choice, as the thing is soooo heavy and big and bulky.

I just thought the Graco (one of the travel system type ones) was more substantial, whereas I thought the Mac and the Peg were kind of flimsy. Chat Icon

DH is going to kill me but I have to get a smaller, lighter one. I'm just not sure of the reclining and folding features of the other brands.

Opinions?

Re: Spinoff to MacLaren strollers

The Maclaren quest has a little lever for the reclining feature so that worked for us and the opening and closing was a little awkward at first but I finally got the hang of it..

I would definately go and try these strollers out at BBB since Babies R Us doesn't carry all of them and see which ones suit your needs best...

I never even looked at the Graco..from my research and all of my friends who have had babies before me all told me to stay away from the Graco because they were too bulky and heavy.. This was the one piece of advice that I took from themChat Icon

good luck with your search...

Funny - my Graco has the string reclining system and my MacLaren has a lever thingy. I like them both and they both have pros and cons. Anyway - I used my Graco for a year and it was fine for my purposes then and much more comfy in my opinion for a young child. I bought the maclaren quest when he got older since it was smaller when going shopping and stuff like that. I still use both - one for walks and the park and around the house (he loves to nap in the graco one) and the other for shopping and stuff like that - keep it in the car.
