Re: Spinoff to ME75 - moms who had DC at age 36, 37, plus
I was 33 when I had DD and had no problems conceiving her. I am 35 now and will be 36 when I have #2. It took 14 months to conceive this baby and I got pregnant my second cycle with my RE. He always emphasized how "young" I was. It was "unexplained infertility" but he never said my age was a factor.
The only reason I wish we started sooner was to have more than 2. I was able to really enjoy my 20's and the beginning of my 30's, focus on my career, travel, etc...and as much as I love DD, I would not change that.

I had my twin boys one day after my 38th birthday. We had problems conceiving, due to male-factor IF and poor quality eggs. We tried IUI, and 2 rounds of IVF -- the IVF worked.
I am tired, but that's to be expected with twins and the fact that we don't have any family to help us.
I am seriously CONSIDERING trying again, when they are about 1 year old, but not medically-assisted. I feel that it's in God's hands at this point and if it happens, it happens. I cannot put my body through IVF again. I'm still having issues with carpal tunnel in BOTH wrists which hasn't gone away yet (I developed it with my pre-eclampsia). I also don't want the risk of multiples again -- one set of twins is enough
This all being said -- I considered myself hugely blessed to have my beautiful boys.
Good luck to you!!!

Had Ann at 41 ... weren't trying but weren't using birth control.
DH & I had a rough patch and a "dry spell" so know I got pregant pretty much when it ended (lol - the dry spell).

Had DS at 34 - took 2 months to get pregnant. God willing, will have #2 when I am 36. Took us about 4 months to get pregnant. I sometimes regret not having children earlier b/c I would have wanted 4 and know that is unrealistic. But at the same time, I had so much fun in my late 20s, i can't imagine giving that up.

Conceived our son when we weren't trying at 34 - delivered at the end of my 26th week - he survived one month
m/c at 6 1/2 weeks at 35
Gave birth to Victoria after 1 1/2 years of IUI at 37
Had a loss at 16 weeks pg at 38 - IVF
Gave birth to Julianne at 40 - rough pregnancy - IVF
None of my losses or pg issues were due to my age - other factors were involved. Our losses made us even that much more determined to have the family we are so blessed to have now. At times I wish I could try to do another IVF (I know DH would love it) but I made a decision recently that at my age I am done. I have 2 beautiful little girls to enjoy and watch grow. For me, I don't think I can handle the newborn stage again with 2 toddlers and some health issues

I got PG with my first when I was 36 and with my second when I was 39. I had ZERO trouble getting PG the first time. With #2 we tried for almost 2 years. They called it "unexplained secondary infertility". We had 1 successful IUI which ended in miscarriage then 4 failed IUIs. We were supposed to go to IVF but insurance didn't cover anything fertility wise, and we couldn't afford it so my hopes of having a second were pretty much over. I had 1 refill left on my Clomid and I took it without all the medical interventions and DH and I must have timed things right because I was PG!
Like a previous poster said, I don't know if I am more tired now than I would have been 5 years ago because this is all I know. I feel I am tired alot because of my work schedule. On days that I don't work and have had enough rest I don't think I feel any different than I did 10 years ago.
I would still like to have another, but we'll see...
