I just picked up a bunch of fall stuff at Kohls-carters and jumping beans. It's mostly comfy play clothes, but that's all we really need right now.

I love Baby Gap.
The clothes wash great & they have adorable things in there.
ON is great too- the quality is not wonderful since they run small to begin with and shrink after a few washes.

I very very rarely buy anything for him to wear in the UK, but if I do, it usually comes from Baby Gap or H&M.
ETA: I did get some Gymboree stuff for him as a gift once and I didn't really care for it. It didn't fit well and didn't wash well.

I'm a picky B*tch when it comes to my son's wardrobe - I hate anything babyish or cutsey w/ characters or animals of trucks and such all over it -
Baby Gap is a staple - Jeans, sweaters, and Jackets
But Target has great stuff - Great daycare clothes -
Tshirts I get at Old Navy b/c I love the vintage look w/o the Gap pricetag -
Marshalls and TJMax have great Polo and Nautica stuff
and I know you're not a fan, but I get a good amount @ the Children's Place. I find their stuff to run a bit big -
Their polos wash FABULOUSLY - and I get his windpants and stuff like that for daycare there as well -
