Spinoff to my PT post: How did you handle potty issue and nursery school
wait another year. DS is the middle child and he has some speech delay for which he gets EI. If he goes in fall which he is registered to do he will either need to be trained or I will have to be prepared to come up and change him if he does.
What did you all do? DD was already PTd so it wasn't an issue in her case.

Re: Spinoff to my PT post: How did you handle potty issue and nursery school
So not me but my nephew was still in diapers last year and they said if he poops they will have to go and change him. My mom went 1 time and I think my bil went 2 times the whole year.
When does your ds go? Is he predictable? B/c I wouldn't worry about it to much. They can go for several hours in a pee diaper (usually 3-4 hrs) so that would not stop me from sending him.
How long is his day at preschool?

Re: Spinoff to my PT post: How did you handle potty issue and nursery school
When we looked at preschools in the spring, DS wasn't potty trained. I didn't want to put that kind of pressure on myself, my mother or my son, so I found a preschool that would take him even if he wasn't potty-trained.
They will change him at school if he poops in his diaper. We just have to have a diaper and wipes in his backpack.
ETA: His class is 2.5 hours, 2 days a week. So pee diapers wont get changed, and I'm ok with that.

That's what I did too.

Ds is in a 2 year old program and they change diapers pee and poop. I think it would be unreasonable for them to expect him to be trained already.

Same here. DS will be 3 in oct and i will attempt to potty train later this month but i dont want to stress it or put pressure on him since we are due for baby2 any day now.
If hes not trained by sept he will go to school in pullups.
