Mannaquien!! I don't know if I spelled it right. But I love that movie.

I am also a huge Pretty in Pink fan.

Of course Goonies!!! I don't think you can be considered American if you have not seen it.

What about that Bjork movie? I think Dancer in the Dark? I really don't recommend it, but I love it.

Boyz In the Hood

State of Grace with Sean Penn!!! that is a must see.

Good Fellas I have memorized.

WHOA I finally found someone that saw Dancer in the Dark!!!!!! We MUST chat. That didnt disturb you??? That movie ruined me for life. I never cried so much as I did after I saw that movie.

oh no...it changed me too!! I feel guilty because I don't even cry that hard when burying a loved one!! I love it, but I don't recommend it. I have never been able to watch it again either. Once was enough. DH has never seen it, but I don't think I could get it.

I was watching it alone and DH came running in the living room cause he thought someone DIED - its really that bad! I would not recommend that movie to anyone. I could never ever watch it again.
Now watch - people on the board are going to be curious and want to see it - DONT DO IT!!! Trust Janice and I!!!!

Goodbye Girl- the original with Richard Dreyfus. He was so good in that movie.

I agree. That was a great movie. I also recommend the godfather movies.

There are so many "I can't believe you've never seen it" movies that I haven't seen: top gun, terms of endearment, goodfellas, officer and a gentleman, scarface, breakfast at tiffany's, citizen kane. There are many classics I haven't seen. For that reason, DH and I have decided to watch every single movie that has ever been nominated for the best picture oscar. We have netflix which makes it cheaper, but it's definitely a lifelong project. Our last year of law school, studying for the bar, and then new jobs and wedding planning for the last year have definitely slowed our project down, but hopefully we'll start watching a lot of them now.

How about Movies that you love that came out within the past 10-15 years?

Ones you can quote from or love to watch whenever they are on TV ...

I quoted a line from "Fame" to my DH and he had no idea what I was talking about. Not a gtreat movie, but still one that I thought everybody (especially a man who was in theatre) has seen.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off- great fun movie

I've added it to my Netflix list. You can't put that out there & not think that we're going to listen...maybe, maybe if you said that a dead woman was going to come out of my TV at the end of it, I MIGHT listen.

As for quotable classics - "History of the World, Part I"

the line "It's good to tbe king" or "Yes , no, no, no, no Yes"
