spinoff to pen pals.. UPDATE.

After I responded to the post I about pen pals I read through a bunch of responses and saw that some people had reconnected with theirs through myspace or facebook.

So, I went on myspace and typed in her first and last name and I found someone who has the same name and the correct age. She lives in Seattle though and my pen pal was from Virgnia. I can't see from the picture if it is her and the profile is private.

Would it be really weird to write to the person and see if it is her? Am I going to appear like a stalker? We wrote for years to each other and she even stayed with my family for a weekend when her family was in NY.

I guess I could explain that I was talking about penpals and I decided to look her up. I just think I might seems nuts.

UPDATE:
I am so glad that I wrote to her. It was her and she wrote back!! It will be nice to catch up with my old pen pal!!Thanks for the encouragement.

the worst case scenarios: it's a) not her or b) she ignores your message.

with the help of the internet, i've re-connected with people. i was scared too. so glad i did it!

Okay, I tried but, after I typed the message it said I must be her friend to send her a message.

Maybe I will see if she is on facebook.

Edited: Okay, she was and I sent the message. I am so nervous. I hate rejection. I have reached out to people I knew in college. They were my exes friends and some didn't write back
