Yeah, but a girl and her daddy is different than a boy and his mommy... eventually he's not going to want to be a mamas boy... every girl can always be a daddys girl and its cute and socially acceptable....
Well let me tell you a little bit about Mom's and son's. She was my best friend and I could always go to her with anything. We had a great relationship and as I go older I became HER protector and shoulder to cry on. When she was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer I was there every step of the way. Through all the tests and such. Holding her hand and telling her that it was all going to be okay, even though I knew it wouldn't be. I think your relationship with you son is what you make it and if there is trust and respect then he will be a "mamma's boy" only in a good way.
I'm 6'5" 275lbs and if loving your mom till the day she dies makes me a mamma's boy them I'm proud to be one.
Thanks for making me cry
Liza & Kevin, thanks to both of you I'm sitting here bawling.

I think about this sometimes and get so sad. But it makes me appreciate everyday with my DD even more...I take 100's of pics and lots of video. I always say to my DH, I'm going to miss my 'baby'...but I know I'll love my little girl...little lady...teenager, etc.

Re: Spinoff to pmpkn's post.... (warning - totally depressing...)
This post is making me cry- I felt this way the last time I breastfed my DD. I knew that she was weaned but I had to have one more, for me. It was so hard. And I know there will be many more. She has always been so independent. I can only think of one time she actually laid her head on my shoulder. So I really cherish the times she lets me cuddle with her and hold her. I try not to think of how quickly the time goes by but you can tell by my avator line that I think about it a lot.

OMG - I always think that way - that no one ever knows the "last" time you may ever do something, so to always be aware and think, this could be the last time I ever...
i may actually make this a seperate post so people can see it - its beautiful....
