spinoff to silly question of the day.....
i've gotten this question SO many times and i  everytime someone asks me
"so, were you guys trying??"
WHY is that any of anyones buisness & what does it matter??? i mean, if my BFF asked me, thats one thing -- but ive had strangers and co-workers ask me this and it makes me

I cant even pretend to be shocked anymore by people- I cant believe that some people are allowed out in society
this woman I work with that has 3 kids and should know better has said everything to me from-
wow- you're 6 months pregnant (nope, 3)

I HATE this question for the exact reasons you said!!!! There's really no good way to answer it and feel good about yourself (IMHO).
I think I usually just say "we weren't trying not to" but sometimes I avoid it completely and say "we'll be married a year soon and are so excited about starting a family!"
I guess once you share something as private as "I'm pregnant" people feel like it's ok to ask private questions right back. You know, since you told them you're having sex with your husband and all...

This is so true!!!
This is my other favorite question (though thankfully I haven't been hit with this one very often). I refuse to be held responsible for what I'd say to some stranger that asked me this. I like the line from Knocked Up:
"You know how they say don't drink and drive? Well, don't drink and bone!"

Between me and LIF... this baby was a surprise lol but....
I actually got this question from a couple of our peers once we told them we were pregnant. This one couple literally asked us "Oh, are you serious? Your pregnant? Was it an accident?"... I pretended not to hear them... asked again...
I said "I dont think a baby is an accident, its a blessing regardless". You would think that would have gave them the message but the guy just said "wow, thats crazy that this baby is an accident".

Nobody IRL knows I'm pregnant but people keep asking me if we're trying. I feel like saying "Yes we have sex every other night with two pillows under my butt & DH on top. I hold a St.Gerard statue in each hand." People are so nosy!!

ugh I hate this question!!! Why do people ask it?
The truth is, we were planning on starting a family, but we were a little caught off guard with this one!
I just tell people, I avoided a baby for 10 years. I'm pretty sure I know how babies are made. People are so rude!
