Re: Spinoff to swing post: When did you retire your swing?
DS did not love the swing, so we only used it for a few months. I thnk he was out of it by the time he was 6 mos or so. I think we did not start using it until he was almost 4 mos.

At 16lbs and almost 4 mos I don't think we have much longer. I think I am going to pack it up soon. My little sumo look ridiculous in it

Re: Spinoff to swing post: When did you retire your swing?
We packed it away at around 10 months but stopped using it consistently around 6-7 months.

DS just went in for his 4 mo appointment on Wednesday. He is 17 pounds and 27 1/4 inches. A chunky monkey!! I have to look online at the weight capacity for our swing
ETA: The website says it can hold up to 30 pounds. So, at least that's nothing to worry about.

Re: Spinoff to swing post: When did you retire your swing?
I'm having a hard time retiring the swing, but DD hasn't used it much the past couple of months (she's 9 months tomorrow).
She got a lot of use out of it up until 6 months or so.

We stopped trying around 3 or 4 months. DD hated it.

Bubbs, thanks for posting this! I was wondering the same thing since both of our swings seem to be about to go on the fritz already
