Re: Spinoff to table food.... Am i behind??
My DH's doctor said we will not have the table food conversation (with the exception of puffs) until his 9mos appointment

I agree, go at your own pace. DD is 6.5 months and LOVES her puffs. I've given her table food here and there, just tried some pancake the other day. whatever she's comfortable with, I follow her lead!

I am really laid back about this kind of stuff. DS#1 was always extremely interested in what we were eating, so I think around 6-7 months we started giving him almost anything we were eating. He never did jarred meats (they grossed me out) but he would get tiny pieces of meatballs, meatloaf and turkey burgers. We just followed his lead and gave him more and more. By the time we took our first family vacation at 10 months we didn't buy any jarred babyfood. He ate off our plates or I would make him Gerber Graduate ravioli- he LOVED them. DS#2 doesn't seem quite as interested in food. We started him on cereal and fruits/veggies at 4 months. I can't seem him being on table food at the same rate as DS, but you never know- things can change so quick with little ones. The only table food he's had is the brth from soups I get or pieces of watermelon in the mesh bag.

Re: Spinoff to table food.... Am i behind??
DD is not starting table food until 9 mos - that's when the ped said we'll discuss what to do. She's only supposed to be on single-grain cereal, fruits, and veggies until then - no meats/yogurt/dairy/etc - no dairy because of a milk protein allergy but everything else is the ped's usual recommendation. I may try a puff at some point but more out of curiosity to see how she'll handle it than necessity.
