i did marry my son's father. he hit me while i was pregnant, so i divorced him.
and now, i'm back to being a single-mom

my nephew was unplanned.
my nephew's mother and my brother talked about getting married but their relationship was just not working out so they broke up - never getting married. they now live in the same town - very close so that christopher can take the school bus from either ken's place or his mother's place. it works well.
they are amicable and make sure to always do whatever they can to help christopher and always put him first. she is dating other people and my brother is hurt now but was dating around before the crash.

I got pregnant when I was 19 and had DS at 20..obviously it was not planned.
DS is the best thing that ever happened to me. Looking back now I can't imagine not having him.  When I found out I was preg I didn't even consider any other options, I just knew keeping him was the right thing, for me, no matter what happened with his father and I.
DH (his father) and I have been married for almost 4 years now. It hasn't always been easy being so young and everything, but DS lights up my life and every day I am so thankful to have him.

Like I said in the other thread, DH and I were 6 months away from our wedding when if found out that I was pregnant with DS. We had a small wedding two months after I found out, but went on with the big wedding anyway (it was already paid for) and DH and I are still together today, over 3 years later. I think regardless of whether we were engaged or not, we would have continued with the pregnancy.

Yes. We didn't get married right away but we lived together ever since DS was born. We got married 2 years ago.

I've never been pregnant, but on the flip side, my friend's brother's ex girlfriend had the baby, they got engaged, and then she left him with the little boy.
He's 4 now and so amazing. Mom has since married, had another son, and has very little to do w/ the 4 year old.
My friend's brother is an amazing (though still slightly confused) father.

We were together for a little while after I found out I was pregnant but then he left me when I was 4 months along. Either way it doesnt matter because my dd is the absolute BEST thing that has ever happened to me. I wouldnt change anything.

Well - we had only been 'officially' dating for about 6 months when I got pregnant - and I didn't want to get married - but we decided (when I was 8 months pregnant) to move in together.
We did - eventually - get married. But we had a 2nd child and bought a house before we took that step.
We are still married.
