Spinoff to the Suri/Kate bashing...Sort of parent related as well....
I know Kate and I are on different levels, but I saw so many women questioning things...
I don't have Kate's money, or staff - but she always seems to be the one with Suri, so maybe she really has taken on Suri's care like a regular, unceleb mom would.
If thats the case, at 13 months, getting Cailen dressed in the morning is a nightmare. He kicks, screams, and sometimes worms his way out of something that took me 10 minutes to wrestle on him... Sometimes I am covered in sweat, and am just not up for another 10 minute battle...
There have been so many days where I need to get him out of the house, and said - know what? F* the jacket, he's going right in the car anyway.
And there are days when Cailen picks up some bizarre object, is exhausted and cranky, and won't put it down no matter what I do.
so, unless its a butcher knife, I weigh out whats worth it to me, and usually throw it into the ever growing " F* it " category in myhead... fine, you want to carry the tupperwear/sock/shoe/piece of string/etc knock yourself out...
Suri doesn't go to daycare, so theres no need to wean her off the bottle yet. Bottles are also comfort, and I'm sure Suri's life is fairly hectic, unpredictable, and crazy for a 2 year old. She may need something to keep her calm with people yelling, screaming, and flashing bright lights at her all the time.
Think of a child at his bday party, thanksgiving, the holidays, etc, and think of all the battles that have to be picked during those times. Now, imagine that every day for some of these kids....

ITA and could not have said it better myself.
Personally I have no problem with Suri still being on the bottle. I also have no problem with her parents always carrying her. I don't understand why people care so much. I also think that famous people just can't win. No matter what they do it just seems to not be the right thing to do. I applaud Katie for spending so much time with her daughter, something you don't see a lot of celebs and everyday people do. She seems to be a very hands on mom so who cares if her TWO year old is still on the bottle. Who cares if her daughter is not wearing a coat? Who cares if it seems like she is always carrying her instead of using a stroller? At least she is there for her daughter rather than having a nanny take care of her 24/7.

The only thing I see as a problem is the bottle, and it is because I have seen what continuing to have a 2 year old on a bottle does to their teeth. My friends 2 year old had to have teeth PULLED at two because they were so totally rotten. The dentist said that is what happens to alot of babies who continue to drink bottles with milk or juice at that age. There is no reason why they can't be drinking out of a sippy by the time they are 2.

Being in the dental field I have to agree with you here. However to each his own. I really could care less what Kate(or any celeb parent) does to be honest....

I really do not think we should take anything personal that is said about Suri and Katie. We do not know them and never will. They are also beyond loaded. We're just gossiping in good fun. It's not personal to anyone.

The rotten teeth mainly only happens if a child is put to bed with a bottle of milk or juice because it sits in their mouth.
exactly, drinking a bottle does not rot teeth, milk or juice sitting in their mouth does

nope - didn't see it as drama at ALL - I also couldn't care less about the Cruises - BUT I thought it was funny what people were asking about suri - my first thought was - oh boy, if I was photgraphed with Cailen all the time, people would be asking a whole list of "Why" questions and " "

Yea, I get you. I' am sure people would have fun with pics of me and my kids, too.
Thats just my point though. We all have our own opinions about parenting, and it seems like everytime someone gives an opinion, someone makes them feel dumb for doing so. Usually it isn't on this board though, more so on Parenting.
That being said, I too could care less about what Suri Cruise puts in her mouth. She isn't my kid, so her parent can do what they feel is best. It is just my opinion.

I agree. I don't come on the celebrity board and get offended when other's bash celebrity parents. These people aren't real to me there lives don't resemble mine in the least so I may do an  or two at some harsh comments but you won't catch me defending a celebrity mom.

So much of that I agree with. But not the bottle. IMO, 2-year olds should not be on a bottle. No reason for it whatsoever. I feel so bad for that little girl though. With all of the advantages she does have, being in the spotlight all the time, with photographers always there, is going to be hard.
