I cannot stand:
- pet hair
- tons of stuff with magnets on the fridge
- bathroom doors with no lock
- no doorbell
lol, you'd run screaming from our house. our doorbell is broken right now and we changed the doorknobs so Sarah can't lock herself in the bathroom.

For me, it's deer heads, stuffed DEAD animals, and STUFFED ANIMALS. (you are excused if it belongs to your child or pet, but when I see one of THESE displayed, I cringe:) I dont cringe if it IS actually Valentines Day.
Also, SPOON COLLECTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
My MIL who usually has good taste bought my DH and I the vermont teddy bear bride and groom for our wedding. I just put them in a bin in the attic b/c I am not one to display stuffed animals. But I feel bad b/c i know those things are not cheap.....
I just wonder why she spent the $$ on them?

picture frames on the coffee table- I dont know why but I feel like frames should only go on shelves walls and nightstands.

I am guilty of many of the things people posted...like...
magnets on the fridge...
stuffed animals in the living room (yes, my DH is sorta tacky and loves his Jerry Garcia doll and I just can't get him to get rid of it)
but I do have to add that somethings that really bother me are...
window coverings that don't let the sunlight in
dark wood paneling
swords/guns/knives hanging on the wall...
a lack of family photos on the walls ---
I think it makes a house look nice when there are family photos up -- when I don't see them I think man, what is wrong with these people.

Overall, I try to live and let live. It's your house, you like it (or are willing to tolerate it), I'm just there to visit.
That said, my pet peeve is bathroom wallpaper on the ceiling and on the back of the bathroom door. Especially shiny, mirrored wallpaper.

I agree! I just don't feel its sanitary! I like "Pump" soap. No one else is touching it.
I also agree with the "Rugs" on the toilets..My parents do this (rarely) thank goodness, I just don't think its necessary.

having NO towel for people to dry their hands, except for the big towel hanging on the back of the door
ANYTHING on the fridge
a HUGE collection of DVDs and CDs all lined up on open shelves....please put them in a cabinet!!!!

i hate anyone that overdoes a theme anywhere. to me, its creepy.

You mean like this??? Yes, that's the ceiling in my master bath... AND those patterns are GLITTER!!!!!
Although, this is no fault of my own, it was here when we moved in and will be GONE in a few weeks!
