Spinoff to wisdom teeth.. anyone just keep them?
I went and had a consultation years ago about my wisdom teeth and they said there was no hurry to get them out.
They are growing in now, and Ive had no problems with them. They haven't moved my teeth and aren't impacted.
Should I just keep them?
Anyone decide to just let their wisdom teeth be?

if they are NOT bothering you then keep them. I only had 1 removed...all my others never bothered me..knock on wood

my 2 top ones arent bothering me at all so i aint messin with them! they came out perfectly and i had absolutely zero pain...in fact, i didnt even realize they came out!
the 2 bottom ones (1 hasnt even come out) are impacted and messing up the alignment of my lower teeth and the one thats poking out is starting to ache like a mofo so i shouldve had them yanked years ago but put it off because im a big fraidy cat.

my 1 top wisdom tooth came in but didn't start shifting my other teeth until about a year later - so that's something to think about. i also have a VERY hard time cleaning it so i had it removed. i have a tiny mouth. my other top wisom tooth has not come down. my surgeon said that as long as there is enough gum coverage, it won't need to come out at all.

I would really love to just keep them since none of them actually came through yet but I have braces now and if I keep them in, I will likely have problems with my teeth shifting after the braces come off.

Only had one removed- on the top- it was so decayed it popped right out too when he pulled it.
The others are ok- they recommend I get them out- because they are hard to clean etc... but for now- they are staying, thank you very much!

same here - mine started coming in about 8-10 years ago, and they are still coming in little by little. my dentist told me i have "plenty of room" for them in my mouth and that i shouldn't have them removed unless they cause a problem. i plan on keeping them!!

I agree - if they don't bother you, then keep them. Mine, however, were a mess. I have a small mouth, so there was no room for them and they were painful. All were impacted, two encapsulated in cysts.

Apparently I have enough space in my gums for a whole other set of wisdom teeth  , so they don't impact me at all and I've never had any of them removed.
Guess that makes me super-wise

I was going to keep them, they weren't bothering me. Then skin started growing over one of them and it got really painful.
I just went ahead and had them all out even though only one was bothering me, so I could just get it over with.

According to my dentist, I can keep my wisdom tooth (I only have one) as long as it doesn't bother me and I can close my mouth.

I still have mine. They are partially under the skin but grown in. The dentist said if I ever have pain from them they should come out because they can't be treated under there, but for now we can just leave them be.

I had one removed and 2 that are doing fine. I have to have another one removed, but it is not hurting me , it just never came in all the way. the dentist told me I am teething. LOL

Mine are still in. I never had a problem with them.
Me too. One is completely up, the others are hidden. My dentist told me that as long as they don't bother me we don't have to do anything with them.

Years ago I had one removed because it was moving in towards my other teeth.
The rest came in and did not shift my teeth.
The only problem I had was, as one came in the skin was not completely off the tooth and it got infected (KILLED LIKE HELL!) but a little antibiotic and it was fine and no problems since!

Mine were bothering me a couple of years ago and they are 1/2 in and 1/2 out... turns out they had a cavity so my dentist filled them and they are fine! she said no need to remove unless they are bothering me and i have had no problem since!
