Spinoff- what is the most expensive item of clothing/accessories you have
The post about bags got me thinking, what is the biggest item you've splurged on overall? I have never spent more then $150-200 on a bag or jacket, but I do have a $1,000 Versace coat. It's a black full length wool coat and I've had it for over 10 years. I used to work there in college and we were allowed to hold 2 items until the end of the season to buy at 70% off. My managers begged me to sell this coat since we sold out pretty quickly, but I refused. I was so thrilled when the day came that I got to buy my coat! It still fits and it is such a classic look that it will never go out of style.

My chanel bags. Like you I got employee discounts so they are worth $$$ but paid employee price.
Most expensive accessories are my engagement rings.

My engagement ring.
Outside of that, most of what I own is on the more affordable side of things. I used to hit up the Betsey Johnson sample sales and get great deals there on clothes. Dresses that went for $500+, and I'd walk out of there with getting them for like... $70.
I did splurge once on a Betsey coat...I think OOP it cost me about $100 because I had saved a bunch of GCs for it.
But if I told ya how much I've spent over the years following Pearl Jam on tour, you'd be all WTF

Ditto!! The most expensive thing I've bought was a Betsey Johnson dress that I had every intention of changing into at my wedding. I got too skinny for it! I guess it was an okay problem to have. I think I paid $175, but it was originally like $400. Aside from my wedding dress, I've never paid more than about $200 for any article of clothing (boots, bags, dresses, coats, etc.) EVER.

I think my Jessica Simpson boots were close to $200. But DH bought them on his own- he picked them out- I didn't even ask for them last Christmas.
When it comes to clothes, I like QUANTITY, not quality.
I like to not repeat an outfit for about 2 weeks and I get bored quickly so I like to have a LOT of clothes and change them out often.
I don't believe in investment pieces because I get bored and love to wear new things all the time.

My wedding dress and my engagement ring. Both under $1500.
Other than that, I'd have to say a bag I got at the Coach outlet for around $200.

Other then that my handbags. For clothing I agree with an above poster that I like quantity over quality but for handbags I have 5 bags that I alternate between (Not tryingb to start drama just answered a question)

My engagement ring would probably be the most expensive accessory that I have. Following that:
My wedding band or watch, DH got me a really nice Movado the week before he had a heart attack. I keep telling him, he must have known he would need someone to be at his beck and call LOL
I have a Prada jacket that's $$$ but I don't know how much, it was a gift.

My LV bags and my Tory Burch shoe collection are the most $$ I have bought myself.
That was a long time ago and now love Marshalls and TJ Max, no more crazy purchases!!

For clothing I agree with the pp. I go for quantity over quality because I get bored of clothing fast so I like having a big variety. I have tons and tons of clothes!
I guess the most expensive item would also be my engagement ring and wedding band. I also wear a sapphire ring on my right hand and I have a movado watch.

It would be my Timberland boots. And I bought 2 pair. LOVE them! I actually want to get a 3rd pair

Clothing-wise? Frye boots
I also wouldn't mind a classic Chanel quilted bag and a Burberry trench. Hoping for one of them for my 40th - so I have some time to save up.
