split house to colonial
anyone know where i can find something online on floor plans (i guess) from a split home to make it into a colonial?
we saw this house i like alot but DH think the house is kinda tight. the lot is big enough to do extension and i want to show DH that we can do that a few years later.
TIA

Re: split house to colonial
Is it a side to side split or a front to back split?

Re: split house to colonial
A side to side split: walk in the front door, livining room/kitchen/dining room to one side, stairs up to bedrooms/down to the family room on other side.
Front to back split: Walk in front door, one room to the left, one room to the right (usually kitchen and living room) and stairs in front of you that go up to the bedrooms and down to the family room.
Does that make sense?

Re: split house to colonial
We did something similar but we have a front to back so I don't think it would help you.
