Splurgy hair cuts- worth it?
I hate my hair. I usually go to a reasonably priced salon (about $50 for a cut and blow dry, with the tip) but I am thinking about spending more and really splurging. I feel like I haven't had a good haircut in ages, but I also finally accepted that I have curly hair and need to work with it, instead of struggling to do things that are not meant for it. (I don't want JHS)
So, worth it? I need advice. Thanks.

To be honest, I used to go to a high-end salon where if you got the owner, it was a $175 haircut, and everyone below depending on experience was less - from $150 - $75...I then started going to a salon up the block from my house and got a haircut for $20...I couldn't even tell the difference....but then, I started going to Stacy Pitt from StylesonB (she's more known has a wedding hair stylist) and she is absolutely amazing and super reasonably priced...
I think cost has absolutely nothing to do with it...she just knows hair and what to do with it....you have to keep trying different places until you get someone that knows what they're really doing....you will be able to tell INSTANTLY if they're right for you.

Re: Splurgy hair cuts- worth it?
Its not the price that matters its if the stylist knows how to work with your type of hair.
I have exetremely tight corkscrew hair thats JHS. The kind of hair stylist I go to b4 I orginally got it done, and after will always be a Dominican Stylist. Maybe its a spanish thing (I'm spanish) but to me they always cut my hair the best. I've had stylists of Caucasian and Asian decent not know what to do with my hair and sought help from other stylists in the salon.
So my recommendation is to try going to a Dominican Hair Salon.
