SPR - Do you have a Disney credit card?
We are probably going later this year and I just got an offer in the mail. Worth it or not?

I have one. I like it. I am saving up my point for a Disney trip in a few years. I did cash some points in and got DD Beauty and the Beast CD for nothing Sorry I can't offer more insight

Re: SPR - Do you have a Disney credit card?
I have it but it takes a LOOOONG time and a lot of money to earn points. I believe it's ONE Disney dollar earned for every $100 you spend. I try to use it as much as I can (and pay it right off) so I can earn as many Disney dollars as possible but it's still not a lot in the end.

REALLY??? Oh lordy. That means I've charged a lot on this card, lol. We charged our Tahiti honeymoon on it 4 years ago and have used it since.
I am actually about to redeem some points for our Disney trip next month - we're using our points to buy our Disney park tickets. We have just over 300 points so it will be enough for the tickets for two days for both me and DH. Each earned point = $1 to spend so I can spend about $300+ for tickets or whatever else at Disney. Not bad.

IMO not worth it. Better to get a discover card and take advantage of whatever is the current 5% cash back offer and bank the money for a trip

I use my Discover card cash back to apply to my balance I figure it's better than spending that cash back on purchasing more stuff!

Re: SPR - Do you have a Disney credit card?
The rewards aren't that great - not sure if they still offer it - but if you put the trip onto the card they gave you 6 months 0% APR to pay it off - which I know some people find helpful if you don't wan to pay it off in one shot.
The only benefits that are nice but not worth necessarily getting the card for - 1) package discounts - occasionally they offer Disney Visa codes - where if you use the card to book they offer free dining before it is offered to the public. It only happens certain times of the year - (it isn't always free dining plan - sometimes it is a % off the room portion)
2) there is a character meet and greet at EPCOT and you get a free photo. nice to do - but NOT worth getting the card for.
I know we used our rewards on our 1st trip to pay for our tips (we did the dining plan) and for a couple of things for DD.

Is there an annual fee? If not, you have nothing to lose as long as you pay in full each month
