SPR... United Airlines Vent
Ugh! So frustrated about United. We were in Aruba all last week (totally not the vent part... LOL!). Anyway, Sat we had a 3:55PM flight home to Newark on United (which literally changed officially from Continental to United that day). Get to the airport at 1PM figuring 3 hours is plenty of time to spare. If you've ever been to Aruba you know what a pain it is to go home. You have to go through security twice and customs there. Anyway, get there about 1PM and there's a HUGE line. We're at the back with 2 kids in a double stroller both sleeping. My 7 months old and 2 year old. An announcement was made that anyone with kids could go to the First Class line. I checked with a guard and she said we can go and escorted us to the First Class line THere was about maybe 4 or 5 groups in front of us there. I guess Chicago was leaving soon so they started letting people who were going to Chicago cut ahead of us. Fine... we were still ok. Next thing I realize we've been on line over an hour. We FINALLY get to the counter and the computers go down or just slow b/c they're all on one server. It took 35 minutes to print out the 3 boarding passes! We get to the security line which is aound the building. When we finally get inside we hear an announcement that anyone flying United to Newark should start moving to the gate. Let me tell you it is NOT easy to cut through pple with a double. THey rush us through the 1st Security station and I think through our double through and it got bent. Also, my 2 yr old decided to have a fit so I'm holding both boys crying and DH is collecting everything. Run through the airport to go and get our luggage again and then back through security, which we also had issues. We get to customs and I see a guy cut the line saying he's gotta rush through b/c he's on the United flight so she let him through and then she wouldn't let us go. So many pple offered us to cut (I think I was almost in tears at this point b/c it was after 4PM now). Security said we had to get to the end. I thanked everyone and got to the end of the line. Finally ran through customs and then to the gate. Us and two other pple got their as well and we were the last ones on the plane. They held it for us b/c of the issues at check in. Anyway, I realized we had nothing for my 2 yr old b/c we had no time to buy him anything. I asked the male flight attendant for milk for DS and he said very rudely that milk is for coffee drinkers only and if there's any left he'll let us have some. By then I was livid. I asked the female flight attendant later on and she was nice and gave it to me. On the way to Aruba the attendants had no issues giving us milk. Anyway, an hour later than the original time we got home safely. Sorry so long, but just happened Saturday and still annoyed with the whole thing.

Ugh, that is so frustrating and definitely not the way to end your vacation week!
You would think that most airlines would have a few small bottles/boxes of milk and juice for kids.
I can't believe that the security people let that 1 guy go ahead and wouldn't let you guys with the two kids.
