SPR - Job Vent
At 6 months pregent with my now 8 month old son, I was laid off from my job. Between DH and myself, I was the one who made the most money. Anyways, since DS was 1 month old I have been doing nothing but filling out applications and having tons of phone interviews. FINALLY one place called me back!! I had to go to them FOUR times! FOUR! Once was a test ... I passed... Next was a face to face interview...they loved me... next was a phone test..I passed... last was another interview followed by another test... all of which I passed. But then 2 weeks later then send me an EMAIL sayind that I in fact do not have the job. SERIOUSLY!!! unemployement isn't cutting it, plus it's not going to last too much longer for me. DH is already working 2 jobs... 3am till 6pm 6 days a week. We are just bearly getting by...if we didn't owe anything other then our current then we would be OK.. but since we got 2 months behind, I feel we are never going anywhere!!
This job was going to be a HUGE pay cut to me, but it would be sooo much more then unemployement. Aaah.. I just feel like such a failure now.  The reason they aren't hiring me is due to my poor credit...which angers me b/c I told them that I had perfect credit till I lost my job in nov... we just only had enough money to pay our immediate bils..like rent and lipa. Sso how am I ever supposed to be able to improve my darn credit if no where is willing to hire me due to poor creidt???  I'm jst so frustrated right now...and needed to get it out somewhere!! Anyone know anywhere hiring that don't judge ONLY on your credit!!?!?!? All the poeple I met at this company said they loved me and couldn't wait to work with me. So only bc of my creidt...aaah!! I seriusly don't know how we are going to get by now...

I feel your pain... see my earlier post today.
It is so frustrating to have something like that get in the way of a good job... besides the fact that WHO THE HECK HAS GOOD CREDIT THESE DAYS ANYWAY?!?!?! Especially someone who is looking for a job because they don't currently have one!
Don't blame yourself. In no way does this reflect on you... the prospective employer set the boundaries, and you did your very best. Something will come along... hopefully for both of us!
I just keep reminding myself of what we DO have... we have four walls to live in. We are warm. We are healthy. We all love each other. Some days (like today, for me) it's really hard to remember this, but "Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
I am in a VERY similar situation. If you want to talk/vent, please FM me. I would be happy for the distraction of someone else's troubles

My last job I was a receptionst, then customer serviccee, then got promoted the last 10 months to assistant I.T. in which I did all the training on the new system and such. I live in suffolk.
Thanks...yes I saw your post and replied... I'm just getting soo frustrated. I have done everything possible to find a job...and nothing is working. So just spending all of 10 mins looking on craigs list with DH he found over 30 jobs that he can do which hes gettig paid MORE then what he is now at BOTH jobs. But now we have to pay off all our debt and take the next step. It's jsut soo hard...

Ugh, I am so sorry Dani! We are in the same boat and it makes me so mad! What do these jobs think? We can fix our horrendous credit with unemployment checks?  I know how bad this stinks, I am sorry love! If you need to talk, FM me!

I'm sorry you are havign such a rough time. That is bogus about not hiring you b/c of credit! I hope you can find soemthing soon or your DH gets those jobs paying more. You'll be ok - just have faith.

Thanks everyone...
After getting that vent out...and talking to DH about things more... I'm alot better. I'm hoping we still get unemployment until like March...b/c by then we should be all caught up on our bills. Then, we are going to take a trip down south and possibly move. If no where wants to hire me, they will surely take DH. LOL. Right now we are just taking it one day at a time and hoping for the best. Thank you everyone!!
