STAR application
We closed yesterday! The final monthly payment was higher than expected, and it's because the taxes were calculated w/o STAR. I called the Nassau County offices today and was told to fill out an application for 2016-2017. So... will STAR be applied starting January 2016?

STAR application
Sounds and looks like you missed this year, so you are filling Star out for next year. If you file for next year, it won't be applied until Jan 2017.

STAR application
I closed on my house last April and missed the deadline. When I applied for Star this past January 2015, it will not be applied to my taxes until October.

Sounds like it will be applied to your 2016 taxes but not your 2015 taxes.
