Started stims!
After a rough 24 hours of not knowing if we'd have meds in time, DH just gave me my first injections! Boy does Menopur burn going in! Gonal-F wasn't bad, but it felt like it took for ever to get it all in.
Has anyone found a trick to minimize the Menopur burn?

Inject the Menopur really slowly and it tends to burn less. For me, the burning ended as soon as the injection was over so it wasn't so bad.
Ganirelix, on the other hand BURNED and for a long time afterwards.
But it's what we go through for a LO...

Yes we are. I go back next Friday and figuring out what type of cycle.

You're right about the burning stopping once the injection is over. There's a nationwide backorder on Ganirelix, so I will be taking something else in its place (begins with a C, but the name is escaping me). Great to hear the burn is oven worse...lol.

Kris, you don't go back until Friday? I start daily monitoring tomorrow. I think I keep forgetting that there are so many different protocols for all of us.

Yep, menopur DEFINITELY burns when going in - hate that one! I would always inject VERY slowly. Do a tiny bit at a time and don't push too much in at once to avoid the burning. It would sometimes take me a good three minutes to just inject 1CC because I'd take my time. Good luck to you!

I hated Menopour until I delt with Lovenox!!!! There really isnt much you can do...just keep thinking of the light at the end of the tunnel

Yeah Friday I go back. I was a slow responder to the letrozole so this is the first time I'm on the gonal-f. I guess we'll see how this does. Yes there are lol.

Cycle buddies!!! I started stim on Saturday 3/17 - Gonal F for me -
Tomorrow I go in for a follow up US and bloodwork
start intralipid infusion sometime between day 6-10
Fingers crossed for us all!!!!!!!!!!
