Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Posted by Ladybug3 My first appointment is not until 5/14. I'm counting down the days. I'm sooo nervous. I'm not tired like everyone else and my cramps come and go and are not as strong as they were. I took another HPT today because I'm soooo paranoid. I think I'm 5 weeks. Why do I feel so uneasy? I just that everything will be alright!!!!
I know how you feel - I get so nervous on days I don't have any or many symptoms. I woke up Saturday feeling great, my boobs didn't hurt or anything - I was all freaked out beacuse I felt so good!
I can't wait for my appt. so I can see/hear the little guy :) 3 more weeks!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Girls trust me, don't obsess over symptoms...
I am almost 9 weeks and don't have any!!! besides little tender breasts I feel great!!!! my doctor said I might be one of the lucky ones not to have any....my pregnancy is perfectly healthy so no need to worry if you feel great!! I also started out pregnant with twins and still didn't have any extra symptoms!!!
Enjoy this time ladies!!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I felt nauseous all yesterday and would've gotten sick this morning except there was nothing in my stomach. Eating breakfast made me feel awful too. Saltines seem to be one of the only things that don't make me feel sick. I also have acid reflux and heartburn, especially at night.
Hope everyone else is feeling better than I am.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I'm not feeling any symptoms either except for fatique and occasional pangs of hunger.
Anyone starting to gain weight yet? I dread weighing myself! At 6.5 weeks I may have gained 2 lbs. already!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I've definitely gained at least 3-4 pounds so far. It's hard not to gain when carbs are the only food I can really tolerate.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
It came on pretty suddenly for me, too. One day I was feeling like I could conquer the world, and then the very next day it was totally different.
But I try to keep reminding myself that morning sickness is a "good" thing!

That's what DH said to me last night - I was really feeling awful when I got home from work and was whining a bit - he said "you don't realy want it to go away do you?" He's right, as silly as it sounds, I do feel reassured having the quesiness because it makes me feel like everything is going well with the baby.
BUT, I think I'm definately going to gain more than the recommended 15lbs from all of these saltines I'm scarfing down

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I got sick again this morning almost as soon as I woke up. Who knew that water would upset my stomach? TMI, but I was so loud that I woke DH up. I've felt like total crap all week.
How is everyone else doing?

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I'm still not feeling any symptoms but definitely feel my pants getting tighter!
I'm a size 0 and am starting to feel the pinch! Been wearing a blazer or jacket so people at work don't start noticing my slight belly bulge.
Anyone shopping for maternity clothes yet? I just placed an online order from Ann Taylor Loft. They are having a 20% and free shipping sale now.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I just had my first appointment although it was more of an annual than anything else. I guess my dr. likes to schedule several appointments in the first trimester instead of cramming it into one long appointment. I'm going for bloodwork in the next day or two. She wrote a prescription for Reglan to help with my nausea. I it works.
I'm scheduled for my first sono next Thursday. I'm so excited, but scared. Then, I have another appointment 2 weeks later. Hopefully, it won't be too suspicious that I keep leaving the office for long periods of time. Does anyone else have an appointment soon?

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I had one when I first found out for bloodwork, and then my next is on 5/20 for a sono!!! It's tooooo far!!!!!!
My belly is huuuuge, and my boobs are more massive than normal...I haven't ordered maternity clothes yet, I feel like they'll still be too big on me, I'm normally a size 6 and I feel like a size 80 lately!!! I've been wearing leggings the past few days I need to run out and get some more of the billowy tops to go over leggings....

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Hey ladies,
How ya all doing? I made an appointment today for my new obgyn (had to get a new one, since my current one no longer delivers.)
Anyway, it's not until May 12. It seems so far away. I don't even know what to expect, I'm so anxious to get a sono. Today makes 8 weeks.
What are you all up to?

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I got a little bit of concerning news today:
I have an underactive thyroid--and I know that it's MEGA IMPORTANT that I stay on top of the levels to make sure that they are within range. If they go too high again, I could miscarry.
The results of my blood test from Tuesday are showing that the levels are running high again (though not enough to be dangerous just yet...my TSH is a 3.9, if you are familiar--they like to see the levels below 3.0).
So now I'm feeling a little helpless until she can figure out what to do with my dosages...

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I had bloodwork done yesterday, which was not a pleasant experience. Apparently I was supposed to drink a lot of water right before going, but no one told me that. Since I've been getting sick every morning, I didn't really drink much. I took Reglan though, hoping that it would be the first morning in days that I wouldn't get sick.
The woman had trouble finding a vein, but eventually used my wrist. Ouch. Then, she couldn't get enough blood so she had to use my other arm. When she was getting the last sample, I started feeling really nauseous. As soon as she finished, I ran to the bathroom and got sick. How embarassing.
I hope I don't have to go for bloodwork again any time soon.

I hope your MS gets better quickly!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
Bump!
Here are some questions for everyone:
how do you feel? do you notice a difference? what are you eating?
i'll answer:
I am doing well! My next appt. is this friday, cant wait! I feel great!
I don't really notice a difference. my boobs feel fine. maybe my hair is a little on the dry side? frizzy maybe? otherwise, i've only been nauseous twice and i am pretty sure it was b.c i needed to eat but didnt have an appetite at the time. mildly sleepy by the end of the day.
as far as eating, i've been pretty good! eating carrots sticks for snacks, and healthier options for lunch/dinner... not letting myself indulge really. hope that lasts!
