Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

How are the December mommies doing?

My swelling is pretty bad. I don't have knees anymore. I just got compression stockings, which will hopefully help. They were a PITA to put on. I think I got more of a workout trying to put the stockings on than I've gotten in a while. Chat Icon

I had a growth sono last week and Chat Icon was measuring 5 lbs 4 oz. I have to have another sono next week b/c my fluid levels were borderline high. If everything looks ok, I can travel down to LI for Thanksgiving.

Does everyone feel ready for the baby? I still feel like I have a lot to do. We're also moving, which is making everything more hectic. I think I'm completely in denial that the baby is coming soon. I'm so not ready to go into labor. I'm really nervous about labor.

Does anyone have any predictions about whether they'll go early or late? I just hope the baby arrives before New Year's.

Hope you're all doing well. I can't believe we'll all be mommies in a matter of weeks.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

I am doing good. I am actually ready for this little boy to come out. I really hope he comes early & not late. I don't think I will last another 3 weeks....

I had a growth sono on 11/8, I was almost 36 weeks & my Chat Icon also weighed in at 5lbs 4oz.

I have had a pretty easy pregnancy, I haven't had most of the symptoms that most of the women on this board have experienced. So I am hoping to also havea very easy labor & delivery.

I hope your swelling goes down & you feel better.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Hi Mommies! I am 35 weeks today and can't believe it. I'm still working, which I hate. I really want to go on leave already, but I feel guilty doing so knowing that i CAN work.

I have periods of insomnia, which suck. I also have VERY swollen feet and ankles.

i get my last progesterone shot tomorrow and I think I can finally have sex!

Our little nursery is almost done. It looks very cute.

How are the rest of the Mommies doing?

hi guys!! I cant believe how good i actually feel compared to my last pregnancy...i had alot of setbacks, major MS till 26 weeks, and a sneak return at 30 weeks...and my car accident at 8 weeks, so my broken collar bone is still awaiting surgery for after the baby is here...
but i feel great...im due dec 28th although i will find out first week of dec if i will be induced earlier due to some other health issues..(also thats when ill have my growth sono) im 34 weeks, and as of last dr appt i was up 13 lbs total..im hoping not to go over 15-17..i have little or no swelling, im sleeping well, just have some discomfort..which obviously is normal...

nursery is FINALLY painted, and my shower is Sunday!!
I cant believe ourChat Icon will be here soon!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Hi everyone!

Well, I'm sure you all know my story--I am trying my best to think positively and to hang in there. There is a chance that we may be having a November baby after all.

It's definitely not what I want--but the pain in my back is crippling at times. Right now things are feeling pretty good (KNOCK ON WOOD) and if it stays this way, I will definitely go until 12/12. I'm thinking she was laying a certain way over the weekend and it was literally the most excruciating pain I could ever imagine. For now she seems to have moved and while I still have the pain in my leg, it's tolerable.

I have 22 days left, and I want to think I can make it that long!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hi Ladies,

I really can not believe we will be mommies so soon.
I'm so excited but also nervous. I feel like I have so much to do.

I'm very nervous about going into labor, but I try not to think of it too much.

I'm a little over 36 weeks and everyone keeps saying I will probably go early....right after Thanksgiving.

I'll be getting another sono next week....I'm excited about that.

Now my complaints....I have to go to the doctors every week....been like this for at least a month. My BP has been a little high , so everytime I go I get a biophysical done. My carpel tunnel is killing me....my feet and ankles get so swollen if I'm not constantly laying down with my feet up.

A few more weeks....I still can't believe it....We will be mommies!!!!!!!Chat Icon

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Great idea to bump this up.

I am 36 weeks now and have a csection scheduled one week early. At my internal yesterday, nothing going on down there, no changes...

I am not working, haven't been for a while so I can rest when I need to etc. But I feel really good overall, can't complain. Just some mild swelling of the feet and ankles, and OH, the worst is the carpal tunnel I have due to wrist swelling. That's really bad...my fingers are numb as I type. But anyway...not complaining.

Nursery isnt done, still waiting on furniture. Still have to wash the baby clothes. Still have to pack most of my bag, a few critical items are in there but not much. Dh has to put together our glider this weekend and we are putting the carseat in too, just to have that ready. We had our shower, it was great. But I have had a hard time finishing teh invites due to pain from the carpal tunnel. So that is what I have to do the next 2 days.

We have all the major baby items up and put together. I want to be ready in case there is an emergency deliver.

Like I said, I do have a scheduled csection so I just hope I make it until then, I really want MY dr to perform it and don't want any emergency surgery. So that's what's on my mind right now...I am also just worried. I just want her to be here already, we are so close yet I will believe I'm a mom once she is here.

I can't believe our time has almost come!!!Chat Icon

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Hello ladies Chat Icon

It is so exciting that December is almost here! I have had a pretty easy pregnancy, so I shouldn't complain, but for the past week or so I have moved into complete exhaustion. I'm not sleeping well between the carpal tunnel and just being uncomfortable. I feel like I could sleep through the next 5 weeks. I do think the baby has begun to drop since I can breathe again - Yaaaay! I've been getting alot of pelvic pain and pressure, so maybe this all means I'll go early??? I really have no idea.

I am thinking about going down to 4 day work weeks after Thanksgiving, I am very quickly losing steam and still have things to finish up at home. The nursey furniture is put together, but it isn't quite ready yet, as DH wants to add another light over the stairs which he says would involve plaster work in the nursery ....he better get going on that!

Good Luck ladies, I hope we all have a relatively easy end to our pregnancies!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Good morning girls!
10 days until December, I cannot believe it!!! I feel like I have a lot to do, and no energy to do it. The carpel tunnel in my right hand is so bad; my fingers are swollen and have been numb since last week. I can barely write out the thank you cards from my work shower. Good thing I got my regular shower thank you cards done right after my shower! My ankles disappeared a little over a week ago. The swelling gets painful by the end of the night. I am still working, but I try to keep moving around to keep the circulation going. I am hoping to stop working soon! I just want to relax and I have been absolutely exhausted lately. I would love to be home and be able to take a nap during the day! I think I’m working for another 2 weeks, not too bad!
I am sooooo excited for the baby to get here, but I am really trying not to rush the pregnancy! I am not too worried about labor, what is worrying for another month going to do? I just keep thinking of the end result, which is finally holding the baby.
My growth sono was 11/5 and she was measuring 4 lb 11 oz. Her head was facing down already, which is good…I can feel her feet when they poke out the sides of my stomach. She also keeps sticking her butt out the side of my stomach, it’s fun to grab! LOL
I hope you’re all feeling good and hopefully we’ll see this post more as it gets closer and closer to December!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

It's finally December and there are already quite a few mommies. Congratulations ladies! Chat Icon How is everyone doing?

I've been on bedrest for 1 week. Chat Icon I was admitted to L&D last week b/c of my high BP. My BP is still kind of high so my doctor will likely not let me go past 38 weeks (next week). I'm already 2 cm dilated and I felt some contractions yesterday. I have another appointment on Thursday (37 weeks). If it doesn't go well, I'll be admitted to L&D that day.

I'm totally unprepared for the fact that I could have the baby this week. I just started getting things together for a hospital bag. We haven't installed the car seat. I was supposed to go to a baby care class tonight, but I'm not allowed to leave the house. DH may go without me. I finally called a pediatrician last week. I spoke to the receptionist for a while, but I was also supposed to meet with one of the doctors next week. I guess that isn't happening. I've heard good things about the practice though. My mom has all of the baby stuff and will bring it up when I go into labor. She washed everything for me so at least I don't have to worry about that. We were supposed to move into our house this weekend, but it looks like that may not happen. I hope that I have the baby next week, but I know it's very likely that due to my BP, I'll be sent straight over to the hospital after my appointment.

Hope everyone is doing well. Chat Icon

I can't believe how much has changed! I delivered my baby girl just days after this post, despite all my unfinished business! And that exactly what I was worried about happened, that my dr didn't get to perform my surgery but it all worked out. I can still hardly believe I have my baby girl in my arms! I can't believe she was in my belly and she is real!!!!Chat Icon I can't wait for you all to feel what I am feeling!!!!!

I have been on bedrest since 32 weeks due to high blood pressure and swelling. It has not been so bad. I'm kind of enjoying all the resting that I'm getting in now. I have my second internal tomorrow and I'm praying there is some progress as I had no changes last week at my 36 week appointment. We shall see. I'm feeling good but starting to get really uncomfortable. Feeling a lot of pressure low down. I'm sooooo excited to meet this baby!!!! Feel good girls!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Had my 39 week appointment yesterday. 1 cm dilated finally, 75% effaced and lost 5 lbs. My dr thinks I'll be within days of my due date 12/20. Biggest indicator is the loss of weight. She said this happens 24-48 hrs prior to labor! I really hope this is true!
