Just curious.. dr. says we'd talk about it at our year appt.

We are going to wean. They just told us today that we can start at 11 months if we choose to. Which we prob will.

I did 2 days of half milk/half formula and then went straight to milk with no issues.

He said we could do it cold turkey, but i dont see that going to well with Travis. So he told us to wean, and do it oz by oz. So for a few days he will get 5oz formula 1 oz milk and then after a few days increase the milk and decrease the formula.

At that point (10mos) my boys were drinking 4 bottles of formula. My ped had us replace one bottle per day with regular milk. By 4 days, they were completely weaned to regular milk.

Ahhh didn't think about weaning per bottle..that's another way to do it.. thanks!!

at DS's 11 month appt we got the green light. he gets 6 oz bottles. so the first week i did 5 oz water, 1 oz milk, 2.5 scoops formula.
week 2: 4 oz water, 2 oz milk, 2 scoops
we're on week 3 now: 3 oz water, 3 oz milk and 1.5 scoops.
im doing it weekly cause the doctor said to get him on milk by 12 months. i wanted to space it out.

With DS we switched over cold turkey and had no issues.
Not sure what we will do with DD.

We did 1/2 milk 1/2 formula for a few days. But it was only because I didn't wanted to formula to go to waste.
