Starting to think something might be wrong - NEED ADVICE - Update

As you know if you read my post, I had a low fever earlier tonight. Well, I was just sitting on the couch and felt a gush and ran into the bathroom and I'm bleeding again. Alot. I looked on my discharge instructions and it says to call the doctor if I have a fever and increased bleeding, especially after it stopped, which it has already. I was planning on calling them tomorrow, and then realized that tomorrow is Sunday. Do you think I could wait until Monday. I'm freaking out.

Update: I actually fell asleep before I could call my dr. The fever has not come back and I woke up stuffy and my chest is congested, so I'm pretty sure I just have whatever Genevieve had a few days ago. My mom came over this morning to help me with both kids since Billy is working a double shift, and she is not letting me get off the couch, so now I'm feeling pretty good.

As for the bleeding, it was just that first initial gush (but it was only enough to soak a liner - I wasnt even wearing a pad) nd so far today, I have not needed to change my pad. Maybe the 2 days it stopped was just a lucky little break. It's not heavy or clotty.

I still will call my dr. tomorrow anyway b/c I have to arrange for my follow-up appt, and I will let them know whats going on and see if they want me to come in earlier, but I'm not so worried anymore.

are you doing too much...feel your belly..can you feel the top of your uterus?? can you gently massage it?

I actually heard that its pretty common (the gush after it seemed like it stopped), but I wouldn't hesitate to to give a call to the after hours line because you have been running a fever.

i think the fever may be unrelated but i worry about infection in your incision or your breast with a low grade fever..i would call the doc just to be sure.

I remember my OB telling me that if I was passing large clots (sorry, TMI) then I should call her. It won't hurt to call, but they may just tell you to keep an eye on it. I hope you feel better soon.

I'd definitely call the doctor or the hospital. A few days after Brendan was born I suddenly got a high fever with no other symptoms. They told me to take Motrin and I had to go to the doctor first thing in the morning. They couldn't find a cause for it even after taking blood work, but it's important to get checked out especially if you had a c-section. Hope you're feeling better!!

My bleeding almost stopped right after the hospital and then i started bleeding pretty heavy, with clots also. My Dr. said it was normal. Im almost 6 PP and my bleeding finally looks like its subsiding.

I never had a fever though. You should call. My doctor said if you were soaking a pad then thats when you should worry.

I hope you called your doctor. The gush/clots sound normal. A low grade fever needs to be checked. Also they may need to check the baby too.

The last thing you want is for an infection to go unchecked in the first few weeks.
